I'm putting together RC8 that I'm converting to electric and I'm wondering what sort of Torque servo I should be looking for?
Some of these servos cost a bomb and rigging up this thing to be electric isn't going to be the cheapest thing anyway!

So what's the lowest toque servo you would suggest in a 8th car (RC8)

10-12kg for steering duties.
an ace 1015 is ideal

a few years ago the best we had that was reasonably fast were 8kg Futaba's, digi or analogue. so i guess anything around or above that with reasonable speed would be fine ;)

I'd be putting a 20kg Savox in - They seem great, put two in my Hyper 9, plenty fast enough, and plenty of torque. Fairly light and titanium geared - you'd be looking around £50. You'd be looking at that for a second hand KO. Doesn't answer your lowest torque question I know, but hopefully some advice to help..

Cheers for the replies! Bought a fairly cheap Scanner servo, see how it is!
9kg torque and 0.12S @ 6V, only £21 brand new so will see how it is!
