Hi All,
I'm currently running my KC in pos 4 without the top deck, is there any advantages running a top deck and is it worth purchasing?
Thank you for your help

Cheers Mark, thanks for your help here 😎 also is it worth investing in the upgraded slipper clutch?

I hated the multiple slipper plate on the K2 and KF2 and converted back to the standard 2 slipper pad configuration which is now on the KC and L1. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are having issues with this setup then try using AE slipper pads as I have found that these are better than the Schumacher white ones. Also make sure that you are using the newer gold slipper spring part U7065 which also helps a lot.

Hi AmiSMB
Thank you for the heads up about the slipper clutch, I will certainly get the AE slipper pads and gold spring

I find the Schumacher slipper pads are undersized especially the current batch but the material is still not as good as the AE pads. The AE pads are slightly oversized for the Schumacher and may need a light trim but not too much. I usually use the AE pads on any car I have as I find them to be nice and consistent.

The ones I always use are ASC9603 and you can still get them but apparently they have now been discontinued and are superseded by AE 9611. I have not tried ASC9611 but reading a review they are not so good and someone recommended ASC91197 instead.
