Welcome along to the EPR 2009 GP.
Having spoken to our landlords on Tuesday, can confirm that the EPR SE GP has now been scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2009!
Further details will become available leading up to the event but as Matt has confirmed previously we will be accommodating the following classes:
2WD
4WD Stock*
4WD Modified
Truck*
* On the proviso that we get enough entrants to build at least one heat.
Can I also take this opportunity to point out to Newbie & Junior trophy winners from the recently completed Winter Warmer series 08/09, these trophies will be presented at the EPR SE GP so please make every effort to come along.
And yes we do appreciate that it's Mother Day that day  but all attendees will be most welcome!
Watch this space for further announcements!
Come along and get some track time at the World's best all weather track and also get some preparation for the National later this year or South East regionlas!!!
Not confirmed yet but I am hoping to hold a raffle to raise money for our new timing system, no prises confirmed yet but I still want your money!!!

After having a test of 7 minute finals at our last winter meeting, this will be our plan for Sunday.
Gates open at 8am. Booking in and practice from 8.30am. Heat one on the line at 10am. Four rounds of qualifyng and a final for all.
We have yet to see if the demand for trucks is great enough but just would like six or seven for a heat. The same applies to 4WD stock.
I am trying to get some items together for the raffle although Tony Evdoka was offered as a prize, he is very old and second hand...
If anyone has any more questions, please ask!
David Church

Track opens early, 8am or so, to start practise, can arrive from about 7.
Mass line starts, 4 qualifing, 1 final, usually, and we even had 7 min finals at the last meeting, very cool!!!
You can practise between rounds as well.

MK Racing will be present (thanks to Tony Evdoka) on Sunday with wheels, tyres and inserts. If you require anything else, give Marc a call to make sure its on baord before the weekend so that it can be brought with Tony.
Thanks to both Marc for their continued support as our club's approved retailer at major race meetings.

What are the costs for the day?

thanks rob

It will be Schumacher Green Mini Spikes if its damp or wet but looking at teh weather, it will be Yellows all day! If you have a set of Yellow Stagger Ribs, you can run these on the front in the dry to make the car easier to drive.
Entry fees will be £7 per class or two for £10.
Its not a problem about being a non-member for this meeting.

About 10-ish start, but I will be there far earlier. You can pit with me, but you will have to deal with Springer and Upton, they are coming along. The gennie has plenty of power so you can jump on that.
OH AND REMEMBER YOU LOT.... THERE IS A RAFFLE, I WANT YOUR MONEY FOR A NEW TIMING SYSTEM, ......BUT......NOT SURE OF THE PRIZES YET!!

All the trophies have now arrived (thanks to Tiny Tom) so a presentation will take place at tomorrows EPR SE GP.
Don't worry if you're due a trophy but can't make tomorrows meeting, we'll save it for you!
See you all tomorrow, pennies for the raffle please!

Thanks to all for the kind comments, as always they are very much appreciated by all involved at EPR. A fantastic turn-out, we really were surprised by the numbers on this date! Good to see so many new and returning faces!
Special thanks to our Race Director for the day, Tom Stacey, who in between emailing his Mum, checking out his mails and seeing what was happening on Ebay ran a good meet, thanks matey! Technology eh?
Thanks also to one of our unsung hero's, Roger, who manned transponder control all day, thanks Rog!
Just to highlight the winners:
EPR South East GP 2WD Champion: Kevin Moore (!)
2nd Matt Benfield
3rd Kit Jones
EPR South East GP 4WD (Modified) Champion: Ellis Stafford

EPR South East GP 4WD (Stock) Champion: Dave Crew

Hehe mate, when are you going to get out and race with us as well. It should be a blast from the past if you do a vintage event there. I may well do my Lazer.:p
I do race... just rallycross cars these days. Somewhat embarrassingly for the race director of the South East's finest multi surface track, I do not own a modern race capable 10th buggy :blush::blush::blush:
