I will continue to run my T2 008 this year so thats just got routine running costs with it but I've bought a pred x11 08 for off road this year, I think that alone has cost me £750 inc spares. I've also just upgraded one of my lipos and I will change my other one asap. Other than that I think I'm sorted for the season now but them tekin RS pro speedos look good....

My lad runs 1/8 Rallycross, 1/10 Touring Cars and we are now on the lookout for a 1/10 buggy .......

it is some ridiculous amount throughout the year. You can spend £1000 on tyres alone if your racing every weekend :o

That's why I don't do nationals!!
Just club and regionals this year for me, so £100 should cover it

I reckon around £300 per national based on doing 2wd and 4wd, including accomodation in a B&B.

Plus expenses to get the season going, after all two new brushless motors and and 4 packs of LIPO's will cost around £540 for competition level equipment.

Throughout a National season I always regard £25.00 every time the car goes on the track to be a reasonable indication of overall cost.

I spent 250 pound at the f3's last year no including petrol to get there

Col, I did Nats last year and only bought 2 sets of tyres for 2wd and 2 for 4wd, so it didn't cost that much.
I know I'm not going to be mega, so i didn't hold my hope too high and only spent what I thought I'd need. So i just went along for the experience and didn't take it too seriously.:D

I think people do think that you need to buy 2/3 new sets every meeting at nats, but you don't, and you can do nats on a budget. :)

I am with Tel on this one you dont have to spend shit loads to have a good weekend. I get new tyres for each class at nationals and I have wet tyres in my box which will last most the year as if its wet they dont wear. I got my LIPOs for Xmas and my brushless motors are still as strong as ever. May get another motor as I may need a milder one. The tyres from the nationals will be used for the regionals so it shouldnt cost me much hopefully. So I think
£300 should see me right.
I think there should be a cap on the amount of tyres used in a national to keep the costs down one set a day.

My sister if the fundings, we take her to market, she is seen by the men (but not the Uzbekistans - we spit at their penis). They pay for day. This pays for all the things, and the travells and the egg.

She is messy, but we are of thinking that it is like a thing that she will still doing when there is money.

I'd say your close to 3k if you do nationals and keep your equipment up to date. But saying that if you camp over and restrict tyre usage you could do a season for a 1/3rd of that, maybe :p

Ian, thats about right.
Fuel 'to and fro' probably comes to £500 by the end of the season.

The first option should be 'up to £1000 i use my older gear and just plod along'

I rekon I get through that - and I am well known for being tight.

I think its very easily done to spend a lot. Every year, you need either cells or motors or both, i think tyres are probably the biggest expense for me along with fuel but it really doesn't bother me because i have a laugh :D
