Hi Guys
So now onto the Schumacher RC car collection, mostly Competition All Terrain (CAT's).
I remember avidly reading the Radio Control Model Car article way back in 1986 of the new to be released Schumacher CAT (although totally bemused by the elastic band front crash back suspension system) and thought it looked amazing. Although I never actually bought one as my first RC car was a Hotshot, followed by my first serious RC club racer a PB Maxima and then I bought one of the first Yokomo YZ870C's in the country and still have my original Dogfighter to this day.
I still had/have a strong affinity for these amazing cars and when I bought my Lotus Elise new in 1999 I had to have the Schumacher Big 6 bought new and which I still need to get around to finishing.
I bought my Cat 3000's hoping to get back into racing at the time (the were current), but never did and also bought a Fireblade EVO as well to go at 2WD racing. I have 3 CAT 3000's 2 built and one stripped down a probably needing new carbon chassis and parts to really fully complete.
Anyway I hope you will enjoy the pics and the Losi's up next

Here's the Big Bad Boy!!!
Bought new as I needed one as they're amazing and owned a Lotus Elise 111S and still own from new a Lotus 340R. (box and parts are all there) so a must for the collection.
This is a really amazingly engineered car and huge and I need to complete it soon even thought I've probably owned it over 18 years so any day now :woot:

This is my latest Schumacher CAT purchase a K2 (2nd pre-owned) as I wanted a car to get back into racing to tip my toe back into the hobby. I have a new Savox servo and need now to fit a ESC and Brushless motor to go racing.
Hopefully some graphics will make it more fun to race: thumbsup:

This Schumacher CAT 3000 was to be the car I got back into RC racing with and when I bought it used I stripped it down and replaced all of the FRP with carbon parts from Fibrelyte.
Anyway it runs great and really fast but probably a little old to go back to racing so will keep this as a runner and race with the K2

Here's my other CAT 3000, was looking as keeping one as a shelf queen or also to restore and this will probbaly need a bit of restoration to make mint.
anyway I have the undertray etc but still a nice lovely CAT 3000:thumbsup:

This CAT 3000 is now in parts ready to be remade, I can't quite remember if I had stripped this down or bought this as is.
But I believe all is virtually complete (need a new front wishbone) but am thinking of making this with all new chassis parts in carbon from Fibrelyte.
Anyway it's all there just needs some spamner time!!!

So here is my FireBlade EVO, I bought this alongside my first CAT 3000 to get back into club racing, but at the time never got around this at the time.

Cheers Dave :D
Yeah like you I'm thinking of thinning the heard a bit (sold 6 cars recently - 2 Kyosho Optima TOMS, 2 touring cars and a NIB RC10 B4 and NIB Losi XXX4+) as I'm probably not going to get around to restoring every thing.
Still taking photo of the cars has kinda got my interest back a bit and also very useful exercise especially for insurance purposes (a quick calculation of average prices per car going off Ebay etc puts a price of my collection somewhere between £23K to £25K) :woot: Crazy I know and no real intention of selling but good to have pics and a log of all cars just in case.
