I live in France and after 5 years I discovered an awesome track 30 mins away
https://m.facebook.com/pages/SAM/547102022007575
It appears to cater for a lot of classes but looking at photos there is a lot of TC
I don’t have a TC - what’s the best TC car for both indoor and outdoor use?
What’s the most common shell?
Assuming the stock class is a 13.5 turn still
Assuming everyone will say X-ray and protoform but want to order one shortly so any suggestions of what the most ‘standard’ is for someone who is a little bit of a shit driver
Thanks

Hi,
My advice would be to visit / contact the club.
See what classes the run stock (10.5 / 13.5 etc.)
Also see what cars most people run. Always great to have help and support trackside.

Will do in the next couple of weeks. Thanks Mick
Am I right in thinking
Xray T4 20 is around 500
MI7 is a bit cheaper at 450
AE TC7.2 is discontinued so a new one will be out shortly
I am thinking a Xray T4 19 is probably the way to go.
Will keep an eye on the trading section
Thanks
You wont go wrong with a secondhand Xray no matter what year as they are bullet proof. Schumachers can be a bit fragile but go well. Associated will no longer be developing cars for on-road and parts will get scarce so I wouldnt recommend getting one.

wow associated. Thanks
Ok cool. Will keep a look out. I looked at the photos at the track and they all appeared xray sponsored drivers.

What types of bodies do people use. I struggle to know the best online shop for premounts, shell . Seems all the old shops have gone down the pan which is really super sad

Even more important than chassis is to see what bodies the others are using at the club, as that is likely to be the fastest or easiest to drive. At my local club the most popular by far is the Bittydesign M410. For modern touring car bodies https://www.thercracer.com/ usually does decent reviews of them, just search the site for the name of the body.

Thanks very much, will put an order in shortly.
Is there anything other to consider when it comes to value for money? I guess 0 come with tyres, imagine they all come with rollbars etc. So I guess there is not much else to consider? (apart from part availability)
MI7 467
BD10 499
Xray 520
Awesomatix 540
I think I am leaning towards the Xray, although I wish the trade forum was a bit more active. A few years ago, there were cars published constantly. Now its seems quiet slow.....
Shocked at the prices they are now for a touring car compared to a buggy.....

Out of that list I would seriously consider the Awesomatix. The others are also good, but the BD10 and Xray are following the Awesomatix. The Mi7 is on its own path but they all share a lot of similarities.
I would go to your local club and see what is popular there and see if you can get a closer look etc before making your mind up.
