Does the Kyosho RB6.6/7 come with all transmission options?

Does the Kyosho RB6.6/7 come with all transmission options?

I'm on the lookout for a car that can run a rear mounted motor during summer and mid/laydown during winter time.

According to some unboxings I've seen the RB6.6 does, but not the RB7. Not sure the 6.6 was some kind of special review item though.

No, the 6.6 and the 7 came with lay down gearbox’s

The bits for rear motor aren’t that expensive and you can get the rtr rb6 bits off eBay

The RB6.6 came with all of the motor options but it was dropped for the RB7 which only had the laydown option.

In reality, all you need are the gearbox housings, idler gears, motor plate and gearbox offset spacer to convert to the 3 gear or 4 gear RB6.6 gearboxes. Will cost you under £50 full retail, unless you can source the parts used on fleabay for a bit less.
