G Force TS160 ESC forgets it settings

Hi all

Random one; G force TS160 ESC keeps forgetting it's settings. No problems at all until this summer, then went to use car and it hadn't remembered throttle brake etc.

Reset and ok...

Leave the car a few days and it does the same. I'm wondering do these ESC's have an internal battery to remember data? My much older Orion R10 has never missed a beat, so I'm probably wide of the mark with internal battery?

Has it ever been reversed connected? I have seen this many times on ones that have, damages the flash memory part of the main chip, though it normally loses them soon as you unplug it and try it again
