Being new to the sport, I have been overwhelmed by how helpful everyone I have met at various meetings have been. Guys give time, knowledge and even parts without making a newby feel like a leaper. The same can not be said for my experience with local shops. (no names, no pack drill!) So let's have your nominations for your favorite dealer (careful!) online store or piece of excellent service you have had from someone you are helping to pay the mortgage! Over to you!;)

Dominic at DC Racing is a really helpful guy. What sets him apart for me, is that if I order something he doesn;t have in stock - he is honest about how long it takes, and is always fast at completing back orders...
Whereas other popular shops I previously used, well they just send what they hold in stock and loose the back orders. I got really frustrated at one of the popular shops, which is when I switched to Doms shop, and no hassles any more. Thanks Dom.

Ledgend!!
Also Microtechracing is very good for B4 Parts and delivery and customer service is great but they are a bit serious sometimes.
But my local Hobby shop(Hobby Corner in Wrexham) are good they dont stock buggy parts but they are good for general stuff and the guys who work there are a right laught.

Cleveland Models in Teesside for me. Bought my first car there, an original Schumacher Cougar in the eighties & still get my stuff from Paul Cook there,(So 20 years or so & counting!!). Also he is extremely knowledgeable & has helped with many technical questions over the years, so for me he has been the best for years.
Also at national events John Cockill at Model Images has been a great help.

Microtech Racing
Fusion Hobbies (for anything Tamiya - apart from TRF parts... thanks hobby co... grrr)

Nick at Demon products gets my vote. He has been racing himself for over 20yrs, so knows his stuff. Also he is very helpful and honest (If he thinks something is crap or there is a cheaper product which does the same job he will say so not just take your money) I also find he is realistically priced not just the std RRP like 99% of other shops I could name.

Dom at DC Racing for me !
Guy's, you're all missing the most obvious contender for this crown Don't think large, think dedicated...
Pete at Castle is an absolute hero in my book - lets look at the facts here. If he's seen you around a few times he'll give you stuff on credit, his tyres are vastly cheaper than Dom at DC, stocks and carrys about most parts for most common cars and is at every North East event rain or shine. There is no-one better full stop!:)

I'll second that, Paul has been great to me over the years. Great bloke and a bloody good driver too.
Other shops worth a mention -
Stockton Modeller -I get LOTS of help from them!!
Action Model Centre - usually 12th bits, but again, great service.

Yeah peter is great - no one gives me discounts like peter does, In fact, I don't ever remember paying full whack for anything off him. He does it just for a hobby and comes to every race meeting - not just for money, but because he loves us! :p
PLUS, he always has an interesting anecdote to tell you if you don't escape quick enough, fantastic.

Peter all the way.
I go out of my way to try and buy stuff from Peter, he supports us, so we should support him.
What would we do without him ?

Dave at T.O.P. models is awsome. A great service provided to one and all. A very experienced and seasoned racer (yes he is getting on now !!). I believe he has actually been involed with rc cars since they started... 1969 I believe.! its a shame he doesnt get the time to race anymore, as he was a very strong competitor, especially in mardave v12 racing... One of his favourite sayings... Rubbings racing! ;)

This is turning into "pimp my shop" :eh?:
but whilst I'm here carl, some constructive criticism on the new banner at the top of your site - its way too big. Make it 750-800 pixels wide max - otherwise your site becomes hard to read and looks messy.

I nominate Jimmy of oOple.com for the great service awards, he shows 100% dedication to promiting the hobby, and for no financial gain.
He spends hours and hours of time taking photos, writing reviews, and making a nice environment online for racers to communicate outside of race time.
