I've read on here somewhere that if you use an ESC and brushless motor made by different brands, you might need to change the timing of the motor.. I have a Novak GTB and Orion 7.5 - what am I looking out for - overheating? Under powered?
cheers
In pure theory, 2 different motor brands could have different timing meaning for the esc.
But in practice, I've not seen any problem. So I am assuming that most big brand sensored motor have kept the same "standard". I think it would create massive returns/complains for esc/motor manufacturers if users were reporting problem due to unmatched esc/motor brand, so they prefer to keep to a standard. This is my belief anyway
if timing has too much advance = more power but more heat(=less effcient)
