Hi

Have an issue with an existing working Xcleroin S system on a 6.5T motor.

Bought the unit for bashing, been great so far.

Took it over to the in laws house as they have some great road out front and the car would not move.

Took out the ESC and motor, put it onto the bench and tried to recalibrate.

LED's flash like they should during the process. Switch off immediately afterwards, as per the manual, turn it back on and nothing.

On full throttle the Green LED lights show, full reverse shows the Red LED. Looks like the programming has taken but the motor is not running.

Reversed CH2 for the throttle and recalibrated, still nothing.

Reflashed with 01.01.28N (note the new firmware filename due to the reversing issues) recalibrated, still no movement.

Ran the motor on another sensorless ESC and the motor runs, only thing left is to change the sensor cable before I ring up Horizon.

Was wondering if anyone else has seen this type of issue at all.

Radio is a very basic 40Mhz AM Acoms. Trim was not changed at all during calibration or when testing the run.

Hi mate, I have an Xcelorin 6.5 combo that's working fine. Was your motor running previously. From what you say it sounds like it has been working but has now stopped doing so.

Read the instructions in relation to calliberating the transmitter/ receiver to the esc. Might need to reverse the channel on the transmitter. Give it a try. Often the problem is in this calliberation. You will get lights but no movement. On a serious note make sure that the aerial is all the way up, even if tranny is next to car! The steering servo may turn but the speedo may not knick in!

I read the instructions as I forgot how to recalibrate so I did do that step.

The channel reverse was done already, ch2 is the throttle channel

I had the aerial cable along side a partially extended tranny aerial and did not touch the aerial whatsoever.

I now that servo movement only proves that the BEC circuit is working to supply radio and servo power. I will recharge the tranny batts just in case the voltage drops on a partial battery meant the calibration was not spot on.

If it works then all is good, otherwise no bashing for 2 weeks :-(

Big thanks to Glenn @ Horizon for the quick turnaround on the 10th unit. He told me that the sensor circuitry on the ESC had packed up. This is why the motor would not rotate. New one coming along soon, and then I am back to bashing. Thanks for all the input.
