Hello,

Just been looking through the regulations on the brca site, and it doesn't mention what the control tyres for nationals will be this season?

Can I assume that the Mid-West will be following the same regs regarding tyres?

Since I last looked, it seems that front tyre choice is now free for nats, is this the case for regionals too?

What tyres should I consider buying for the 09 mid-west regional series? Starting with Kidderminster and Hinckley?

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Guys,

Since controlled tyres were enforced in the national series, front tyres have always been free choice. Controlled tyres only apply to the rear axle. There is no control over the compound of tyre, nor the quantities that can be used, the control element refers only to the brand/tread pattern and 2 types are nominated.

This is the case in the MW regionals also... I apologise for the lack of clarity on this issue, we will address this and place info about this on our new site. All events which are taking place in the first half of the series have nominated Schumacher Minispike/minispike 2 and Ballistic Buggy Minispikes. The remaining rounds of the series have a deadline on which they must nominate the tyres for their event, and this will be made public in plenty of time before these events take place- There is every likelihood that the aforementioned tyres will be utilised throughout the entire series.

Thanks,
Tom
