Whats up with that? Everybody seems to have the insted of the stock ones. Are they that much better? Please explain the difference to me between Losi shocks compared to AE. Thinking of buying a X-6 squared dispite what my signature says for the moment:bored:.

Think possibly they are a bit better made - only a bit, are a bit easier to fill, only a bit, but as the UK team drivers are using em, and the setup sheets have them. Then if you can get them!? you can have the same setup as the team.

For me they are MUCH easier to build than AE and consistent everytime. Some people can build AE shocks but others (myself included) would have to spend ages to get them right, The AE shocks on my truck I had to get Bradders to rebuild and then Rich Lowe at the Petit as I can't get them at all.

Thanks for the replys, but where can I get new ones without having to buy piece by piece? Losi should have them as a complet kit!

Losi dont sell them as a complete kit as there not a hop up they come std on most losi kits these days so most people just need bits and bobs not whole new shocks.

I found the cheapest way is to buy a 2nd hand losi car...!!!:bored:
Buying them in bits would cost around £100 a set.. you can pick a whole car up for alot less.!

You can just use Losi pistons in AE shocks!
But im like Dan & just hate building AE shocks :(

Yes, thats what I as well figured out as well. Looked at losipartshouse what the total would be and with shipping and such it would be way too much. I will find myself a used xxx here insted. I had Tamiyas TRF shocks on my S2 before and they worked very well. What do you think about them?

I have no experience of trf shocks (yet) other than touring car (trf415) type, and i thought they were awsome. ( I have a trf 501x worlds on the way)

Okey, let say I get myself a X-6 squared and losi shocks. What range of front and rear springs do I need? And the same question goes for the AE shocks.

Was thinking running it as recommended weight. Somewhere around 1740g and 65/35.

Anybody tried building losi shocks with 1 O - ring instead of 2. Replacing the second O-ring with a spacer?

This is how kyosho and tamiya shocks are built.

If so did you encounter any issues with leaking?

(I have 8 shocks to rebuild and only 8 O rings !)

No, but i'd imagine they would leak as they arn't designed to have one o ring. Just rebuild the rears until you get more o rings.
