that's Coca-Cola:lol:, haven't treid the real stuff yet :woot:

found it on a nitro forum

For example ive just got a barely used Fantini motor for a song, and stripped it down before use, gave it a good clean and soaked the rear bearing in coca cola due to rust and replaced the front bearing as par for the course. If your wondering about the coke, its a great rust remover and as such enabled me to save the rear bearing from self destruction!!

And cheaper.

Though you get odd looks when you buy 5 litres of Tesco Basic Vingear... works a treat on real car stuff.

Ok, household items work great in our hobby for various things.

Being a vehicle techy by trade, but having gone to the extreme of strip down and replacing a front bearing, wouldnt it have been a better idea to replace the rear as well ??

Then you have a fresh set of bearings and may be keep your replaced 1's in a pit box as spare's if needed on the day.
