Guys and girls,
The entry for this meeting is again a large one (there are only a few places left). If anyone has any changes to any of their details can you please let us know before the event to hopefully speed up the booking in process.
If your details were wrong at York, please let us know. Have you now got, or not got a PT we don't know about? Have you got more or less crystals? Are you on Spektrum? Do you want to race a different class?
If you know now that you are NOT coming can you let us know so places can be opened up to others.
This is for your benifit and hopefully we'll get home a little earlier. :)
Thanks
Graham

Just to let everyone know Derek will be creating the heat listing on WEDNESDAY MORNING (as he is going away), so if you do want any details changing you need to let Derek (or me if you don't know how to contact him) before then.

They will be whatever you booked in with origonally ;)
With this current season of indoor running with timed, ticket only pracice sessions, and ever increasing numbers turning up, is it not time to at least think about running regionals more like nationals?
For example - is there any reason why we can't run pre-booked only whether this be online or by snail mail. This "problem" of loads of people turning up on the day seems to be a major factor in causing delays.
And another thing that bugged the hell out of me at York regional was that the race's were held up because people were not ready (with over an hour between rounds, how the hell can you not be ready?!?)
Personally I feel that this situation is going to need addressing soon if numbers coutinue to grow like they seem to be doing.

Col I agree that on a 120 driver indoor regional, if you're not ready, it's tough I'm afraid. Nationals does this, and it works just fine.

Sent an email to Brian Hopps re entry and had no reply.
The booking in site seems to be playing up @ my end.
Has Brian 'retired' from RC or is he just in the back ground?
Spoke to Stuart Craig @ the club last night and it was down to 4 2wd and less 4wd drive slots so I booked a slot with him for 2wd as I hadn't heard from Brian
What's Derek's email again (PM if he keeps it private)

Hi Guy's n Gals
Just a reminder that the doors will be open at 8.00am and not before, it'll give me some time to sort out an overflow pit area, also may I just remind people that there is pitting tables, chairs and power but they are limited so if you could bring your own plus extension leads or 12v supply that would be great, i'll look forward to seeing you all there. :)

Clockwise may be possible, but,
Banked corner has a lip on it if you approach from left to right so it makes it difficult to run the corner clockwise. Taping it down doesn't seem to help as there is to much spring in the wood it's made from. You wouldn't want to have it lift on you as your on for TQ.

I can't come any more :(
My house decorating didn't come along as well as I had hoped (due to previous owner being a tard) and then the ceiling fell down. I have just got it to the habitable stage which is handy as I need to move over the next 2 days despite not having packed at all yet :(

Sorry to hear about your ceiling Dan:o I hope you weren't under it at the time!!!
You'll be missed on sunday, who'll bear the brunt of all the jokes?
Have fun packing, you'll have to let me know where your new house is then I can come and see you:o

Questions for the Teeside Club, as I'm looking for an indoor venue and it's either Teeside or Worksop.
Are there any spaces still available to race ??
if so, what class (2wd or 4wd) ??
What time do the doors open ??
What time do you normally expect to finish ??
Is there a shop on site ??
Any fast answers would be greatly appreciated. :)

and @ least 4 in the B, Adam, Kev, Liam, me with Adam taking the win from Kev then Liam. I finished 9th after a bad couple of 1st laps but I did take home a trophy for top Vet. Last drove the buggy @ the Juniors/Veterans 2006 and 1 meeting in door @ TRCC 2007, so I was happy to be 6th in the B.

i have to say the track is unique and i for one struggled with my cars all day, but life would be boring fi all indoor venues were polished floor.
The track was good and allowed for some very good action and we got a good advert as to why direct soldering batteries can be a disadvantage but hey it gave us all something to talk about

Must say that it was a great day yesterday, thanks to Gary, Greg, Glenn, Danny W, Mad Dog, Liam & all others for help with track layout on Sat.
Well done to all who ran the meeting, it went swimmingly i think.
Also well done to our Greg for best ever result at Regionals, top driving (unlucky in 4wd BQ eh? bugger lol)
Also well done to Teesside lads, Pete Watt, (Double A Final), Shanners, Pembo & Leggy for first regional A finals, excellent stuff. Thank to Kev for the ace soldering & Adam for the quick speedo set up, shame about your own speedo.
Many thanks to all who attended, dont think i have ever seen as many off road drivers at the warehouse, long may it continue, a brilliant set of indoor regionals, well done all involved at Durham, Batley, York & Teesside, hope it all transfers over to the outdoor season & we get over 100 drivers at each outdoor event, that would be mega.

Also well done to Teesside lads, Pete Watt, (Double A Final), Shanners, Pembo & Leggy for first regional A finals, excellent stuff.
Barry
I was amazed by how well us Teesside racers done at this competition since the driving standards were top quality across the board from all racers. There was some very close racing in the A final, with a huge amount of etiquet (sp) on track and off with true "bumper to bumper" racing. It was a shame I was knocked to the back of the pack for a bit but soon made it up back to 6th, giving me a chance to have a good battle with greg for 5th place.
Still, Im happy with 6th in the A as I wasnt expecting to be that high up & havnt raced much lately :)
Again, congrats to everyone and hope to see everyone again at the Nationals / Outdoor regionals soon
Edit*
I didnt see the car actualy blow but I smelt it a few seconds after, guess that says it all.
I was close behind Adam when the thermal overload put the brakes on and went up the back side of his car, wondering what on earth was going on! Then on the next lap noticed a cloud of smoke hanging around near race control :S
