Used a Trakpower 3600 2 cell lipo today. Went to charge it and the trakpower balancer wont allow it to charge. Low voltage. How do i go about putting some life back into it.

A few lads I know had this problem when they did,nt have voltage cutoffs and their lipo,s went too low, they kick started them on a nihm charge putting in about 100 mah at a time and retested the lipo charger that way

Hi sounds like you have let the voltage drop below 6volts, If you have the it is now no good. sorry to give you the bad news but lipo's should never be aloud to drop below 6volts because it damage's them.
most lipo charger's will not let you charge lipo's that are below 6 volts as it is dangerous.

Agreed it may have wrecked them but it may be worth a chance to kick start them if you,ve got a lipo bag. try nihm kick starting them if the voltage is not too low.
take a look at trakpowers site

Voltage on lipo is 5.9 volts:cry:

Thats only .1v below trackpowers recomended cut off. I think its worth taking a chance with the nihm charging , try it at 50mah steps then test if the lipo charger will take over. youve nothing to lose
LiPo cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7V, maximum charged voltage of 4.2V and minimum voltage of 3V. These maximum and minimum voltages should be observed to avoid damage to the cells, for example in an RC car it is important to not discharge the pack lower than 3V per/cell (or 6V total for a 2s
let us know how you get on

Should be OK ..

Try and charge it on a differnt lipo charger without the balance unit on it?

I have recently sent a trackpower stick pack back to flightech. My charger also said low voltage. When I put a multi meter across the pack, it had 7.34 volts in, basicly, the fault was with the balance port, the wire had "snapped" inside apparently. Flightech replaced the pack no quibbles. it was only around 3 weeks old though.
I would try what Garry says, and you might be pleasantly suprised.... or check the voltage with a multi meter...

can you not charge them on normal lipo charge profile, with out balancer ??

No. Does the same as with the Balancer.
Going to try a few things to get it back to life:p
