I'm thinking about a 501/511 but don't want to shell out for LiPo saddles, has anyone successfully fitted and raced with stick LiPos in a 501 or a 511, if so how did you fit them?

Thanks.

Thanks, I had read that post, it left me wondering if any one else had tried or if there were any conversion kits on the market or if the 511 had more room under the slipper clutch out of the box? Does anyone have any more stick install pictures and detail on retainers etc?

Come along to Jarrow on 21st April with a stick pack and we'll try it, Ive a feeling it will go in my 501x with the layshaft I am using.

Wouldnt putting a stick pack lipo in a saddle car upset the ballance of the car?

Seems pointless to me, just buy a saddle pack.
Just my 2 pence worth

You can just redress the balance by strigning the car up, and adding weights.

If it was a BJ4 Mr. Green, that would be a different story altogether...........how would the torque steer be effected by running a stick pack.... what is the torque steer effect of the counter weights???

If you do manage to pop along, any chance you can bring your Dynastorm, Ive always wanted a look at one of those.

I'm working on a topforce Evo project at the moment, I must get one of those TC showrooms!

Yes Chris I'll bring it along no problem. I don't think my cars going to be ready to run I haven't got a body sorted for it yet:(

Tamiya Club is a bit of a strange place:woot: however you just can't beat the showroom facility imo.
