Why so many for sale in the for sale section? Is the a problem with the car?

Maybe the outdrive stigma..?
The new ones are lots better but perhaps still not perfect,
im getting some new parts ive arranged myself to try next week:
outdrives, roller and hangers..
These are the only parts ive had fail..

So what are the new hangers? Do you mean wishbone hangers? I hope so, they're the only problem i've had since putting on the new outdrives, i kept bending the steel screws so i upgraded them to titanium and then managed to completely snap one, luckiny there was just enough left hanging out to get the pliers on it to get it out. But in my opinion it's still a brilliant car.

Yeah wasn't aware of any issue with the new outdrives?
Wishbone mount screws and spurs are the only other issues I know about, certainly the wishbone mount screws I bent nearly every run with it!
Tbh though, the reason more are for sale is probably because more are about than most cars, certainly at most meetings I've been to!

Im still running the old outdrives without issue, now I know why they broke I have had no issue even now I have no external limiters!: which is that the setup you get if you follow the instructions causes too much drive shaft plunge and the dogbone drops into the slot and prises it open = snap.

The only real issue I have is the bending of the M3 screws in the wishbone hangers. I'm thinking of doing an M4 mod. A better sollution would be to increase the contact area between the wishbone hangers and the bulkheads.

"Agreed" :thumbsup:
Also, bracing across the front of the hingpins, and longer screws into a threaded bar to maintain the distance of the gearbox sides.

I think one of the main problems is that washers is made in alloy and this is a very soft alloy.. But who made 3mm steel washer in 1mm and 2mm thinkness? I think steel washers can solve the problem.
I donīt want to made the 4mm change in the first way..
I have changed a lot of screw on my sons cat.. and the washers is getting damaged every time and must be changed.. Hangers got some damage too, but is still useable..

it s taking along time to figure this out guys , i think its some thing to do with them being house trained , cats that are house trained are scared of the wet , and the good old english weather gives us plenty of that heheheheehhhee lmao

i've got a new design of front brace that should (in theory) stop the problem of bending screws. just need to find a machinst who can make it. its a very simple turned part and should be cheap to make in small batches.
you would need to drill the front M3 screw holes out to a 3mm clearance hole but that's it.
more info when i can find someone to make a prototype - any suggestions ??

Northy has already made one mike ;) I didn't want to step on his toes seeing he had already made a prototype and was using it to good effect at the last few rounds at worksop. I had somebody lined up to make them for me.
