With just two weeks to go to kick-off at Bury all drivers who wish to attend the regionals need to ensure they are BRCA members and their BRCA membership cards are with their race gear.
Last season after submitting the results to the BRCA I was informed that more than one of the competing drivers was not a 2008 member - not good. Remember, the regionals are BRCA sancioned meetings.
We need to cover this by making sure that all drivers are members.
Please can we make sure that when you book into the meetings you produce your BRCA membership card, and book in using your BRCA number.
I will be checking all BRCA members, any driver who claims to be, and is found to not be a BRCA member will be dealt with and removed from the meeting.
If you turn up for a meeting and are not a BRCA member that does not stop you from racing - but you MUST join the BRCA at the meeting.
It's also important to point out that BRCA members are covered with 3rd party liability insurance by membership. Any member who is injured by cars on the track is covered. It follows therefore that any non-BRCA member who is injured is not covered. To cover this the clubs have been asked to keep non-BRCA members outside the main part of the track. Marshalls, mechanics and pit-crew also need to be BRCA members.
The first meeting is on Sunday May 3rd, at Bury's Goshen track.
