I have purchased a Peak Vantage David s Version (the purple one), has any one else got one? If so should i change the brushes for 10-30 run ones.

Also i have been told to gear these motors down a few pinons than what i normally run. Its a 11x2, and normally run a 20/84 in my xx-4.

i use them all the time, i usually run either enduro's or the new sprint long life brushes (pm me if you want any;) ). gear mine 82/20 on a 10x2 sometime 82/19 depending on track so i would start off on 84/20 and go from there.

before you use it just run the motor in if you can at 1 volt for about 6-8 minutes, bed's the brushes in and gives you more power

i run the 10x1 version, awesome torque for 4wd.

definitely use the long life brushes as i found the sprint ones gave no difference. i skim about once per meeting (5 runs ish) and change the brushes after about 20 runs (but they are still fine and no noticable drop in performance)

I have run my 11x2 on 21/78 (23/84) which is fine, I never use the enduro brushes as I find they burn up too quickly, so I always stick to the sprint edge.

Make sure that the timing is on the 3rd mark to the right as well, as this will give good rpm, Mine revs at about 52000rpm better than some 10x2's.

The one thing I would recommend is you change when it's time to change the brushes, replace the stock springs with PEK2066/2067 copper springs as they are mor tollerant to heat, and your motor will stay more consistant.
