As usual, you only have until Midday on Wednesday to get your entries in, otherwise you will be classed as a late entry.
60+ entries received so far.

do we know if there is sufficient interest to run a 4wd guest heat yet ?

Yardeeee
27-04-2009, 02:22 PM
Haven't received any entries stating a wish to run 4wd... as I said in a mail out last week, anyone wishing to run 4wd at the event should still use the 2wd entry form online, but write "their name (4wdcar)" in the name box, there must be a minimum of 6 4wd cars to make an extra heat worthwhile.

Tom..

Me and another would be interested in running 4WD in a guest heat if there was enough..

Only question is, would it be possible that the guest heat is ran last instead of first as we cant get there before 10am..? just saves us from missing round 1..

Thanks

I would be up for it too so thats 3, will enter via website

As it stands, due to no other interest received, there is no 4wd heat...

BUT if there is 6 or more come in by midday wednesday a heat will go ahead and yes possibly we can put it on last however, understand that I will not disrupt the traditional format of events to make exceptions for competitors non-points scoring on the day/running in an opposing class to the rest of the event... if there is a 4wd heat, and it is considered most appropriate to run this heat 1st, that will be what happens I'm afraid...

I repeat, if you wish to run 4wd at this event, send your entries via the 2wd form but indicate "(4wdcar)" along with your name. Minimum 6, maximum 10 by the deadline of midday wednesday... By thursday, I should be able to let everyone know if there is a 4wd heat running and where it will be placed in the schedule.

Don't know why you were missed off the list, sorry.
Your original entry had been received.

BUT, it does help if you tell us your real name when asking these type of questions.

What trackside shops will be there?

_sleigh_
29-04-2009, 07:27 AM
There was no official trackside shop at Coventry, but I know Matt Dodd had a few tyres for sales from the shop he works at.

Might be worth dropping him a PM if you need anything specific and he might be about to help you out.

NO 4WD HEAT WILL TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY

Hi Guys,

Just to make you aware, as of the entry deadline of midday today, I had received just 2 entries from guys wishing to run 4wd on sunday. I have subsequently emailed those entrants and told them that due to there not being the required minimum of 6 4wd entries by the deadline as requested, there will be no 4wd heat on sunday.

There are 74 entries as things stand, dependant on late arrivals, so should be another good meeting. Thanks for your support, see you then.

Is it possible to book in on the day Tom?

Cheers mate

Yardeeee
30-04-2009, 10:06 PM
you could do... but it would be easier if you could just send your details in via the online entry form, it would save time on the day if you are into the archive ready to just be added to the heat list.

Either way, the deadline has passed, so I'm afraid you will be a late entry and will be in heat 1 with no practice... sorry.

To all the guys who have entered late: you won't appear on the heat list 1st thing in the morning, however if you go to book in and say your name, you will be on the entry list, just not the heat list as this indicates the heat people practice in... and you guys unfortunately don't get practice. After practice the official qualifying heat list will be posted and you will be on this, in heat 1.

Hi Nick, check out the Hinckley Club Forum as I think Dean has recently posted details of the Kiddimister Regional including directions of how to get there.

You not following us there???

We'll prob be meeting in the usual spot to form a convoy there. Not sure what time we are meeting but I'm sure we'll sort it out at Hinckley club racing tomorrow!

See ya tomorrow, Jon!

I ran a grid ref coordinate conversion and it comes back as DY11 7FB which is very close.

Just slow down as you come up the dual carrige way else you will miss the turning into the track.

I have updated the website to include the postcode.

Ditto all the comments above, a very well run meeting and thanks to all involved. I'd like to give a personal thank you to the photographer who put those photos up as he's solved my understeer problem, my front wheels were not on the ground!

My first taste of Kiddy and probably the best run meeting I've been to in my few months so far back in the sport. Aside from my own disappointment with qualifying really enjoyed the F Final race with Ashley but had to let him win in the end;)...not really.
