i am wondering about this vs spektrum dx2 which is like twice the price even though it does come with servos. both spektrum and sanwa have excellent reputations for customer satisfaction and product build quality etc. obviously saving 100% cost is tempting. the ansmann w3 looks very similar to other sanwa transmitters, are the looks deceiving? - probably not i think. are the spektrum servos any good? metal gears etc. please help!

i'm thinking the Spektrum from instinct anyway, but can't deny the apparent value of the ansmann specially if i upgrade to a high end servo whichever i choose:confused: don't think i need the dx3s or the second receiver even if telemtry.

much talk about this on the modelsport.co.uk forum (http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=57266). arguing whether is cut price version of Sanwa's MX3, which incidentally is a contender to the spektrum as it is available now for c.£139.99, but a fair point raised is replacement/additional receiver cost/availibility...

apparently, word is, that the 2.4ghz on the Ansmann W3 only scans a maximum 40 channels - same as Acoms 2.4g - rather than 'industry standard' 80 channels.
