If you've got this far then you'll notice the wheel is at a funny angle on the back of the pic above. That RC10 is mine and I managed to take out a rear wishbone so if anyone has one spare, for sale or swaps I'd hugely appreciate it!

Hope you enjoyed the pics, next time I'll take more.

I have Video of Harris and the TRX1 going round, when I get time I'll stick it on YouTube.

Cheers

Mike

That looks really cool. Good luck with the rear A-arm. You can still get black ones new if you're in a bind...

That looks like a lot of fun thanks for sharing the pictures. I would love to get enough interest drummed up to run a vintage class in my area of the North East.

Anyway if you have no luck getting a second hand rear arm for your RC10 you can still buy them new from Tower Hobbies, I'll pm you the link;)

Craigs Trx was the fastest 2wd in the Uk back in the 90s indoors and was easy to drive so bang on for getting it running again. Let me know when the next ones r going to b so I can join in the fun with my zx-s

Gutted! Nearly had the TRX-3 ready to run last night but didn't have chance to finish it. If I would have known about the vintage night I would've got my backside in gear and got it finished.
Next time then...

Part 1 of the Final, TRX1 and 2 RC10's.

I was out with a broken car as per usual and Pete had to go so unfort no optima. Vids aren't great as were taken with a camera but you get a feel for the tracks we have at Caldicot if you've not visited us before.

Enjoy!

Not that far if you go on some of Northy's Pro Cat and RC10 performances;)

was craig running that TRX-1?

I think I actually raced against him while he was driving a traxxas back in the day, when i was 15, with my super astute.

well, i say 'raced' - in reality it wasn't really a contest - I was bottom of the d final, he tq'd and won

Hehe well I remember him sitting on the stand watching my last qualifier with my B2 as he thought I would knock him out of the uk indoor championship final, and was on for it until the last lap when an A team Associated driver took me out possibly due to being 4 seconds behind me on the clock, and put me pole in the B. Still Craig and his TRX safely made the A and only ever recall him only making one B final at the first indoor champs. He cant balme me for knocking him out of the A as I was in 4wd instead.

Trust me, that TRX1 was ballistic on the night. On that particular track with Craig driving it it was matching any of the modern cars no problem :) Plus he had very little practice with it beforehand and was just running a base set-up including stock springs and 6 year-old tyres. And one of my spare bodyshells which gave him a few extra tenths  The RC10s and Optima Mid looked great but the TRX1 was running Lipo & Brushless and was a class apart. Very, very impressive tbh.

On the right kind of tracks the old TRX1 and 3's would still be excellent club cars for drivers who arent in Craigs class and need something thats different, simple to work on and virtually indistructable. I hope so anyway, ill be running one there when i can.... ;)

Craigs trx 1 was and still is quick and always made the national a indoor finals except for the first. The trx3 was very good on low grip surfaces but didn't suit craig as well as the trx 1. It suited stu wood when he won a national with it. Still craigs driving is exceptional and that's what makes the car great. Wait for my 4wd as I will get it going the way I want it to go and that's also brushless and going lipo soon as you know

Then we can have a blast from the past. You do know someone actually makes a trx remold
