Due to building work going on at West Bridgford School, West Bridgford Model Car Club are unable to use the same area of land that they used for last years regional. Although there is plenty of land to situate a track on there is not really anywhere to park and so the club have deemed the school unsuitable to hold their regionals this year, meaning we had to find a new venue.

The new venue for both of the regionals being held by West Bridgford Model Car Club (07.06.09 and 09.08.09) will now be at the Bingham RFC Ground, in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.

The Venue:
The track will be laid on clubs training area which means it is on flat grass with a few bumpy sections and man made ramps. Pitting areas are in the clubhouse car park on tarmac and also around the track area on grass. Facilities available on the day are a snack bar selling teas, coffees, soft drinks and also Hot sandwiches and snacks. They will also be opening the licensed bar during the day to serve alcoholic drinks if you fancy a pint. Obviously there are also toilets available in the club house to as well as a pool table.
Directions to the venue can be found on the Bingham Rugby Club website at this link: http://www.binghamrufc.co.uk/?page=Contact
(http://www.binghamrufc.co.uk/?page=Contact)

The venue address is: Town Pavilion, Brendon Grove, Bingham, NG13 8TN

Timetable:

The timetable will still run an hour behind what is run at the other regional venues because the site is a fairly open public thoroughfare meaning the club will have to lay the track in the morning to make sure that no items go missing over night. Due to this the timetable will be as follows:-

Booking in 9 - 10
Heat Practice 9:15 - 10:45
Drivers Briefing 11
Heat 1 at 11:15, 12:25, 13:35, 14:45
Finals 16:00

At least this means that everyone can have another hour in bed on a sunday morning. Due to the venue being fairly close to residents houses can we request that if you have a generator please can you not turn it on before 9:00am at the earliest.

We are looking forward to running the regionals at this venue and think we have found the best venue at such short notice that we could do. We hope that you enjoy racing at it to.

I am booked in, cannot wait! I'm loving the idea of a bar too, which is wierd as I don't drink. All you need now Rob, to make it absolutely perfect, are some semi-naked pit laydees and an ice cream van.:D
