1) my first half decent r/c cars was the tamiya sonic fighter. were these any good at the time? i seem to remember breaking it constantly!! and i never broke the topforce evolution i had after it, (or the YZ-10 i had after that too, how i wish i had kept them all. i think i sold the sonic fighter for about £5 in the ad-mag!!) does anybody on here have a sonic fighter? do they ever come up for sale or worth buying?

2) colour advice- i want to do a few new paint schemes on my vintage cars and need advice on thefollowing colours reqd. the colours i'm after are

gulf porsche blue
gold leaf lotus red white and gold
eggenberger sierra black and red

3) schumacher purple alloy shock bottoms- were they ever fited to cougar 2000's? if not should i fit them to it anyway or to my bosscat or sell them?

4) slightly off topic. a couple of years ago when i had my caterham i nearly bought a tamiya jpe 1/12 model (not r/c) for around £150, now they are well over £200 on the bay. are they now obsolete? i appreciate that if you buy one and leave it in it's box it may be a good long term investment, what if you built it up?

5)last one i promise,:D where can i get a tamiya brochure from? do they do them?

cheers all,
bryn

Cant help with any of these apart from the first one.

The Sonic Fighter was a beginner level model in its day. 2WD and similarly designed to the Striker that preceded it. The Sonic Fighter had oil filled shocks up front.
