I'm trying to decide which variant of this speedo to buy... The TC or non TC. I'm currently running a 2WD buggy and a 1/12th pan car, so the non TC version would suit my current needs. What I don't want to happen is that I at some point get a 4WD buggy or a touring car and have to shell out another £200. What do you guys think?

i was speaking to ben cosgrove yesterday the tc spec are based on 10.5 touring cars . so the sxx would be the best i would think with 10 profiles.
that just my opinion.

From the specs on the LRP website it looks like they both have 10 profiles.

I assume, Urzrkymn, you're referring to the SXX and SXX tc spec, the main difference of these is, as far as I can see is that the tc spec version has a lower motor limit, due to better cooling.

Jayst, the tc spec is not designed for stock and prostock, it's primary design is for mod tourers, hence the lower motor limit, guys like double world champ Marc Reinhard and Ronald Volker used it at last years Worlds in Thailand, and I highly doubt they were running 10.5s!!!

For more details on the SXX check:

TC Spec (http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/electronic-speed-controls/car/produkt/sxx-tc-spec-brushless-regler/details/)

Standard Spec (http://www.lrp.cc/en/products/electronic-speed-controls/car/produkt/sxx-competition-brushless-regler/details/)

I would get the TC if I could, like you say, you don't want to be shelling out for a new speedo later, if you could get it now!
