I bought a second set of intellect ip saddles 2 weeks ago.
used them in my 4wd on sunday for about 10 -15 mins practice at stotfold. im using a speed passion gt speedo with the lipo cut off turned on. pulled the car off the track and disconected the batteries. No problems.
yesterday i plugged the cells back in and instantly the esc starts flashing and beeping at me for lipo cutoff mode.
so i put the cells straight back on my core-udc-20 lipo charger but it just says "warning battery voltage low"
anybody got any ideas if i can revive my lipo pack without setting off a firecracker in my face??? I was thinking of switching one of the cells with my other working sets of intellect lipos to try and kick start the charge process.
Am I likely to end up in hospital with third degree burns doing that???
cheers
Ben

If you have a multimeter, you could check what the voltage for each saddle is. I got one for £3 off eBay, and it's useful for checking batteries.
I've heard of LiPos getting revived by really low voltage trickle charging (presumably by chargers without an LVC). Do so at your own risk!

You can charge (at about 0.1A) the Lipo on the NiMH setting, until the cells have reached about 2.9/3V per cell (so 6V). Then disconnect and charge as normal. This doesn't always work, but it's the best/only way to revive a lipo. Just make sure you are around it at all times. If it starts to puff, take it off and get it outside immediately. If you have a charging sack, put it in there. But still be in reach of the door outside, just in case.
Good Luck.
EDIT: You can try the way you suggested too. I had forgetten they were saddles at 3.7V per pack. Give that a go first.

Sorry, can I just check my eyesight? You did write Intellect? After all the problems we had with their NiMh cells, you bought their products? OK, maybe it's just me...
(Does make me laugh though - exactly the same problem they had with NiMh they manage to build into a LiPo pack apparently. Now that's genius... :D)
