What is the address of the gear ratio calculator that I have seen mentioned in the "Runtimes" thread and what information do I need to input for an RC8?

They're easy enough to make (at least for FDR). Create a spreadsheet, put pinion sizes down the left (column A, starting in row 2) and spur gears along the top (row 1, starting in column B), put the internal gear ratio in the cell A1, in the top left (RC8 = 4.3) then enter this formula in the first cell:

=(B$1*$A$1)/$A2

which equates to:
=(spur*int. ratio)/pinion

The dollar signs allow you to copy this formula right across the grid and always reference the appropriate value.

For multiple cars, just duplicate it to a second worksheet, rename it appropriately, and change the internal ratio.

To make it more readable, you can set colour formatting rules, so FDRs below, between or above certain values are indicated with different colours - useful for indicating suitability for different surfaces, or FDRs outside the useful range.

Thanks, I have one of those already.

There is a site with a calculator that uses a lot more info than that and give top speed but I can't find the link.
