How many parts carry over from the BJ4 WE? Is it cheaper to order the extra parts instead of buying a kit to upgrade?

thanks, john

Jonathan Clark aka Mr A Carbon would be best to answer this, but my best guess would be that the price would be similar.

As no "official" price has been released for the BJ4 to S4 conversion it's hard to say, but, I would guess the conversion is at least £200. This would make a combined price of Bj4 £350 + conversion £200 = £550 which is the price I have heard quoted for the S4 complete kit. The S4 kit also appears to have a better spec than the Bj4 as the S4 comes with a one way front diff and a few other hop ups as standard.

The S4 comes with spare front wishbones and a spare set of gears aswell;)

All the transmission and wishbones and mountings are used on the S4 from the BJ4WE, all the carbon fibre and inner steering parts are replaced with Atomic-Carbon parts.

If you have a BJ4WE the easiest way to a S4 is via the BJ4WE to S4 conversion kit, which hopefully will be available in April at £250.00

I dont currently have a 4wd buggy, (just sold the pred) so i would be buying a BJ4WE to convert. Would it be cheaper then to buy the upgrade kit and all extra parts seperately or still go the conversion route?

Thanks, john

John, your best bet would to see if you can pickup a BJ4WE secondhand, they do appear here on oople and ebay. And this would be the cheapest route to a S4.

does it have to be a bj4we or would a standard bj4 work

The conversion kit is for the BJ4WE, as it uses the center slipper assembly and cvd propshafts.

If you have a standard BJ4, you could either buy the worlds conversion kit, or buy the parts you need as you don't need any of the worlds carbon fibre parts.
