Hi all

Im considering buying 2 mad rats as my spear cars , what i would like to know is are the materials made of different plastic than the PRO - X ??

And if anyone knows if losi/assosiated shocks would fit on as upgrades and if a B4 Alloy Hingepin brace would fit  also whats the battery bar like would a AE carbon one fit:drool:

Also whats the cheapest place to get 2 :D I saw in the other thread that some1 on ebay in Hong kong is selling the Pro-X version for 60quid :O but it has a diffrent name also are the parts interchangable :D

Modelsport does the MadRats for £45 each, free delivery when you spend over £99. Models in Motion are £47.97 each with free delivery over £50. I got mine from them and they arrived the next day!

Be carefull with the Hong Kong ones, VAT and import duty will probably be added once in the UK.

Anyone with a Pro-X got the part numbers from the build manual to compare with these MadRat ones?

Front arms 125000499
Rear arms 125000500
Chassis 125000409

Mad rat feels like plastic with nothing added
The B4 threaded shock's fit straight on no prob's

So the madrats plastic is the same as the PRO-X??

i think the Pro xhas carbon added to the plastic and the pro x has threaded shock's too

JJ, i can confirm that the plastics on the mad rat and x-pro ARE different. the x-pro has graphite in the plastic to make them a bit lighter and stronger.

IS that a deffo, as in do you have any proof.

I know you work for them, however, iv had 2 cars side by side...

Lets just say, parts looked and felt ezacly the same.

Thanks

they would feel the same , if you have them both side by side , compare the part numbers from the manual :D

best thing to do, is do a torsional twist test, that will show how 'stiff' the items are, and snap them, you can then see the crystal structure inside.

I don't see how a company would want to carry two lots of headed card parts, different part numbers, but same items....

I know this for a fact mate. Ive been heavily involved in the new 1/10 buggies were now distributing.

Next time you break a lower arm or hub on either car, look inside at the material and you will clearly see the difference.

It would be interesting to weigh the parts too see if there was a difference as well.

B4 , plastic and carbon wishobones as example , look, feel and weigh differently. These cars look identical.

Iv not weighed any parts as yet, but someone will prob do it.

I'll update this again, after seeing a X-Pro buggy the arms on that were the same plastic as the madrat, the truck version has the sparkley hard carbon in the arms but the buggy does not. So there's basically no difference between the madrat and the x-pro other than bearings and shockers
