Something around 13:00 overall is probably a good start - which is pretty much kit gearing I think 17/96.

You can fit the B4 spurs also apparently.

B4 ones fit. The largest is 87 for the b4 - that is what the team guys use.

I'm about to install a 6.5 GTB w/87 B4 spur. What your thoughts on the pinion size? Is the 6.5 underpowered? Running on dusty loose track. SO

as i have not got my brushless yet, i have been running an 8 double with a 16 pinion on. works fine to keep up with those guys with brushless.

WoOdys is with the AE 87t spur as well btw.
The 'kit gearing' is very low, about right for the fastest brushless you can ever imagine I reckon. I think around 14:00 overall ratio. 13:00 overall is reccomended for something like the LRP system with a 3* (whatever that is called now).

Thanks for that!!! So my kit pinion with the 87t spur should be ok? i hope. ha ha. Sounds like i should go brushless?

You should be spot on with that yes.
