Has anyone got any good suggestions for tyres that are long lasting.

As much as I would like to race, at the moment the buggy just gets run on whatever car park is empty :)

However it seems to eat tyres at an alarming rate. Call me tight but the thought of shredding another set of Schumacher mini pins doesnt appeal to the wallet.

Yellow mini pins all round lasted maybee 6 runs, I then tried harder blues and these seemed like they would last better but suddenly went bald even faster.

I tried a cheap set off ebay, this was false economy as they were shredded after 2 runs.

Maybee I shouldnt run such a wild motor, but thats part of the fun of bashing it about :D

Try Schumacher Venom 88 tyres. Made for the Rascal they fit standard buggy rear wheels and have a proper road tread. Perfect for bashing if you fit rear wheels on the front of a 4wd. Schumacher also make several Road and Track tyres for the Menace GTR road cars which also use buggy size wheels. Available in several compounds they don't grip as well as the Venoms but they are available in front and rear wheel sizes and will last for ages.

There are also Proline Dirt Hawg tyres, they do fronts to fit both 4wd and 2wd buggies and are a long lasting all suface bashing tyre.

I bought a set of proline dirt hawgs over a year ago for this very purpose, great for bashing with little wear, they also make the wheels a little larger and more spongy which is more forgiving when you hit hidden ruts in the road. Also inserts come with them which is nice.

Ok, I ordered some dirt hawgs, looking forward to give them a try.

Cheers.

Looks awesome with those on but i was just going to say any old set of Losi Silvers, Reds, or Proline M3's, M2's etc will be fine - just run a knackered set and they'll quickly become slicks which as long as it's dry will obviously generate loads of grip on Tarmac!
