Hi Jim,
Do you want us ALL to book in, even if we entered through the ME-OR website?
Just to make sure?

Why not put a list of drivers that have actually booked in already
This would possibly either stop a double booking or non-booking
Just an idea

I'd assume that there will be atleast 1 non-reg heat as I know some of the York guys want to run. I'm sure someone will be along to confirm.

Well I'd already been to Blyth so there was no issue as I had a good set-up. Now the CAT appears to be a bit heavier under the chassis so I have to go back, I blame you guys for that!!!

any piccys of the layout for this weekend guys , and what about shop , burger van and camping please :woot:
James
21-07-2009, 04:23 PM
No idea on layout dude, will be done saturday i think.
Ive booked the usual mid-east burger van.
Camping available - £1/night per tent
- £2/night per caravan
Dont know about the shop, maybe Andy? (PBM)
Toilets on site and drinking water as usual.
NO SMOKING/NAKED FLAMES/BBQ's etc near the hedge at the back of the rostrum theres a corn/straw field there, very high fire risk..
Someone set the field at the side of the track on fire about 5 years ago with a cigarette - 5 fire engines/police etc very very scary and dangerous we dont want anything like that.
If you want to do that sort of stuff do it well away from that side of the field
Thanks

hi all got here about 9.30 pm and put the tent up and only a few here at the minute track looks good and it was really easy to find too ,,, got the beers out and now chilling ,,, would put the genny on but three motor homes are all dark two tents are dark too so probably not a good idea to crank it up see ya all in the morning guys

Well, a pretty good meeting in all today. Not the weather that we ordered.
Nice layout, very challenging in the wet, blood slippy on that section coming towards the rostrum.:wtf:
Shame about the abuse I got when marshalling though.
Some people just cat get it into their head that we are just racing toy cars can they?

Thanks for coming all :D
None of us had really run a meeting before so sorry if we weren't up to usual standard but i think all in all it did the job of a regional for you.
Hope you liked the track, it'll be improved further and spruced up for the national at the end of august.
Well done to Tom Cockerill for timing the meeting ! and the scrutineers Shane Foot, Northy, Rich Coates, Ben Jem, Jim Dixon ...

Great day and exactly how a regional should be run. Nice and relaxed, but still run to a rough timetable. I was home by 6pm which is a bonus as it's 100 miles away.
Mega impressed with the track now it's almost finished, you've all done such a hugh amount of work since I last saw it. :)

Well done Robin Hood Raceway and York RCC.
Really helpful bunch of guys who put on a great event on behalf of the Mid East Region.
The RHR venue is really good with a large multi-surface track capable of various layouts. A must for any RC driver looking to test his/her skills at a top venue.
The weather was dry most of the day but a couple of showers ensured that tyre choice was critical. Even so the track did nothing unexpected in terms of grip levels accross changing surfaces and pile provided you did not stay on a dry tyre when the showers came.
Thanks again on behalf of the Mid East Region and Drivers.

Had great fun on Sunday, excellent track cheers guys. :DNote to self for next time......... lap times are much quicker in your final when you actually remember to put a stupid transponder in your car.

Yeah, loved the track James, shame i didn't love my driving, wrong tyres in the final.....DOH!!
Can we come to the track anyime at the weekends for a practice or is it locked up??
James
27-07-2009, 10:25 PM
Closed for practice until after the national, we'll be doing something like organised practice days after that ...
Closed for practise so that we don't get in James's way when he is there! :woot: That trick you did at the weekend of driving round with your eyes closed was impressive though!
