Hi,

I'm under the impression that Wrexham on road club is no longer running. Where have all the touring car guys gone to race now? I've just bought a tourer with the intention of using it during the winter but was thinking of going up to Wrexham only to find that its no longer there. Quite a number of years ago I did a big meet there & really enjoyed the track (despite the poor weather)

Anyone know where i can get a bit of TC action would be great

That is a fair old trek out from Oswestry. I'm sure I could come along once in awhile but I'm looking for a regular race night (or day)

You could race at Oswestry, the club race indoors during the winter on carpet and can put on a TC heat. I know a few guys have TC's and if a few people get them out again there should be enough for some good racing!
Especially if some of the wrexham guys start to come down:)

Wrexham model car club is still running, just that its no longer on the old fibreglass site. Racing is on a friday night at Bradley Village hall. The Committee are looking into getting another outdoor venue but im not sure how its coming along, havent been down there for a week or so,

All is good cheers Andy! The hall is 17m x 8m, currently 1/12ths and good old mardaves racing.

Mardaves eh... That takes me back to some good old fashion battles between us, Alan Newton, Lee Farrer and Darren Stephenson!

May have to dust one down for a laugh!! See if I can get it going!

A few people are going to start running 1/14th Carisma GT14 at Wrexham indoors, look like a nice alternative to Mardaves. There is hope that we will have the outdoor track back for next years outdoor season.

The rostrum and containers were sold off by the club before the landowner disposed of them, as for still racing there, i think it would be ok for you off roaders but be careful of all the old fencing and general crap which was pilled up in the middle of it!

Southport in the winter do 1/10 tourers indoors and 4wd/2wd buggys and recoil & mardaves
