Its all about winds this is one of the most difficlut things to exspain in the world but in your cas eit is made slightly easier.

In a 15t known as a single motor, the piece of copper wire is wrapped around the armature 15 times .

A 15x2 is known as a 15 double which means there is 2 pieces of wire wrapped around the armature 15 times.

And so on for a tripple anda quad which means 3 and 4 pieces of wire are used.

Hope thie helps

In thery the 15t should be slightly quickers than the 15x2

I have to assume that what Ash says is correct as I don't really know any better (if you can understand his grammer...) To compare elec motors to real cars for a minute, heres another way of looking at it: A single turn motor has lots of bhp (think formula 1), where a quad turn motor has lots of torque (think bus...). For buggys you will have no problem with a single turn motor due to low weight and efficient drive trains, but if you're running something different (ie those silly climb up cliff slow as f*$k 4wd things) then you're gonna need all the winds you can wrap around. I think that may just bore you into nitro power, but never mind!

edit: I don't really think a double is more economical than a single, just a different way of delivering the power.

singles are torquey doubles triples etc the higher smother rev higher ie a 15x1 will be torquey 15x4 will rev higher but be smoother for your lazer use a 10x1 17t pinion should be a good starting point
