Hi,
I have both a mad rat and a xpro and have been racing with both several times now , as of yet i have not added any weights to any part of the car, as im kinda new to 2wd off road im not really sure where to start with the weights
Could someone maybe use photoshop or something similar to draw on this picture (thanks dcm! :)) of where to place the weights and how much weight ? if anyone could do this it would be great help to me and to anyone else that checks out this forum for a guide :)
Thanks !
Currently, I have about 40g on top of the servo, and only about 20g at the rear, in front of the gearbox.

you place the weight at the back on the battery strap or that gap between shock tower and gear box ?
in the battery tray, between the battery and the rear of the chassis

Are you going to be running Lipo in the car?
I have only run mine once with Lipo, Brushless and NO additional weight, it's clear to see straight away that it needs some weight adding - Even just to bring it up to the "legal" BRCA weight let alone to sort the handling.
The car seems very front light so as DCM says at least 40g on top of the Servo and possibly some weight in the little sections either side of the servo - Also a thin Brass or weight strip under the cells should be an option (assuming you run Lipo) but yeah also some weight at the rear - possibly 10/15g either side in the rear quarter if you like, if you can squeeze any in there.....
The main thing is other then the servo, keeping any additional weights as low as possible in the car.
I am waiting for the alloy bulkhead, with the brass weight in it, then I might melt some led into the chassis at the front too.
I don't want to add to much weight in the rear, as it is very Losi like, loads of rear grip.

Yep sounds about right, usually a heavier car is a bit easier to drive (to a certain degree obviously) but it should at least stop it being twitchy and unpredictable.
