Only practice, so counts for nothing... I guess they are taking best 2 consecutive laps for interest only. If you look at the 5 minute run times... Pinisch was quickest 11 308.4, with Lee 2nd with 11 308.5.
Another round of practice to go today with 5 rounds of qualifying to come, 3 to count I think.

Isn't the whole idea of counting two consecutive laps to sort out the Start order for each heat?? Saves anyone getting a random one off good lap.
IceMike

wouldnt it just be as easy workin off the overalls then for each heat fastest times and all that

Hehehe well lets hope he can pull a rabbit out of the hat and see if he can do the top twenty. He's more than capable of doing it, just hope he doesnt drive like a monkey for the rest of the event.
I'm no expert but I think the best two laps are used in order to take into account that a driver may break his car in practice even though he's fast, or simply pull off before the end of the run.
It's not unusual for heats to be re-seeded after controlled practice.

Just noticed that you've put the round 2 results twice, once in the correct space and the other in the overalls after 2 rounds. Should be Hupo, Tom, Ellis etc... as it stands you have Hupo, Neil, Lee

12-08-2009, 09:52 AM
Manolis is a legend -
He is an internationaly respected designer of radical chassis designs.. (ish!)
He has a habit of turning up at a meeting without vital components such as a finished car. If I recall at Neo 09 he managed to complete 1 lap all weekend after somehow arriving in the wrong Shropshire or something like...
and by all accounts thats pretty typical for the mad greek man who has snakes for hair..
He is cool though!

Any pics? Sounds like a legend in the making!
Some say he spends all his money in his hair... And if he could make a car out of his offcuts - HE WOULD.
All we know is, he's called MANOLIS

Hehe mate you really need to know him, legend is not what I would call him. Yes he is a damn good machinist as well as his girlfriend who is just as good and is a very likeable chap. Still even though he is caos there is genius with his designs and he can do a Mgyver as well and he can make things from having nothing as well like driveshafts.
I still have a regret in not having the Losi mid motor design he made as that was a masterpiece. I wonder whats coming next

Overalls are found with good timing, the proper ones only seem to be up between two rounds of qualifying.
I reckon this is the order:

I just spoke to Ellis briefly on the phone, he is TQ with the same score as Hupo (1st, 1st, 2nd) Although Hupo's 2nd place "time" in round 5 was his quickest the TQ fell to Ellis by virtue of the fact that his fastest "round TQ" ws quicker than Hupo's fastest round "TQ" (not his fastest "time" which was actually second in round thanks to Lee Martin ;))
The X-Factory X6 Squared has TQ'd the Euro's 2009.......... well done Ellis (and Tom who is a superb 5th)

I really hate stuff like this - as if it REALLY makes much difference, and also not being funny but i bet he hasn't changed it for the Final so how did they not spot it during qualifying???
At least he hadn't had a particularly good final - would have been far worse if he'd won the leg!

Mike, Jonesy says he is missing you.
Wishbone problems, coming off the quad jump on 2nd round of practice, broke, and coming off the wall of death on his warm up lap for rd1 qualifying, broke again. I think he forgot to change the wishbone. Still, he put in a blinding warm up lap time up to that point.

Hi dude....
Just logged in on Jimmys computer while Vicky has gone to the Round 2 press conference!!
I've just picked up a 27th or something in Round 2 which is amazing considering the day I'm having!
We changed the car for Timed Practise 1 and it was gash so I pulled it off (the car that is) after 2 mins.
Timed Practise 2 - Broke the car on 1st warm up lap on the quads, front wishbone so didn't start
Qual 1 - Broke the car coming down the wall of death on the 2nd practise lap, it bounced into a pipe and smashed!
So after 8 practise runs and 1 qualifier I told me dad to re-set the car up as per Tallywain National and it appears ok!
The track in itself is festive and is probably the toughest track I have ever raced on in my 19-20 years of racing! Also, it is so hot it is untrue!
I'm in a position now where I can push on and see what I can do but I'm going to struggle to beat my 'C' Final in 2wd!!
Role on Oswestry next Thursday!! :p :p :p

Where can I see overalls? I can only find ftd!?
i think you will see three trf's in the 'A'. Very good car, shame they don't get the uk support.
Does anybody know what happened to phil sleigh this run?
Andy, the jungle drums have been beating, and they are saying that the Tamiya distribution is going to split to static and display, then another RC vehicle distro, if that happens, there may well be far greater support in the UK.

Marc, Viktor, Hupo - Tamiya TRF511 top three. Viktor was 8g underweight and disqualified so Cragg went up to third.

I would not count on that being anytime soon............
Hobby Co have VERY strong coneections with the top men at Tamiya
Thats a shame, as the 501 was a damn good car as i imagine the 511 is. Good Uk support is needed and this belted beauty would fly off the shelves and round the uk tracks.
Any news on what happened to sleigh?

Congrats Tamiya, assuming no scrutineering problems the World touring champ is now Euro 4wd champ!
Looked like Cragg did some awesome laps in the middle of that though!!
WOW!!! What a racer: WC 1/10 TC, EC 1/10 TC, EC 1/10 TC indoor, EC 1/10 Offroad 4WD ... Seems to be the year of Marc Reinhard and the TRF Team :-) Congratulations to Marc and all Tamiya Drivers.

Imagine the results the 511 could get in the UK with some top drivers aboard....
If it didn't sound like he had a totally standard car, I'd expect a 511MRE in the near future to cash in!!
That would be cool :-) TRF 511 Reinhard Edition :-) Now Tamiya has to give him also a golden TRF buggy, like the MSX before. But it shows really, how strong he is at the moment.
