you got two options here.

1) Shim the hingepin tight, this will top the pins from popping, mainly.

2) Buy the allow pin mounting brackets.

Also, if you are on the (low) budget, you can replace those suspension mounts with the carbon reinforced ones (M parts #54036 such as this (http://www.vellrip.com/store/product_details.asp?p=1501&c=47)) and replace the suspension balls and inner suspension blocks with the carbon version on the A parts (#54033). I bought and installed my alu pieces before I realized there are cheaper alternatives to it.

I am on a tight budget and I have the alloys on the front and the carbon-reinforced ones on the back. Had to get a new lot of A-parts anyway for the diff-covers, so figured I may as well get the carbon ones and changed those bits too. Hasn't happened to me since. When I have more money, I'm gonna get the alloys for the back too, but I'd rather save up and get some trf dampers first.

The problem with the kit bits is that they are soft and flexible, so they 'give' and the ball pops out. The alloys (and to some extent, the carbon-reinforced ones) flex less and don't give, so the ball stays in.

Might want to ignore my advice about the Carbon Reinforced bits, and just stick to the alloy bits... mine popped out about 5 times this weekend

Weren't the screws loose? Where all the washers correctly placed? Did you use that grease the manual says? I think this grease would help the hinge pins to pop out easier. I haven't put any of this grease and I have had no problem so far. Maybe I am just lucky .. I am not a big fun of spending my money in aluminium parts, I would have bought the TRF instead if I had wanted aluminium.

My rear tore off after hitting a home made ramp wrong, i dont blame the car more my stupid idea and crap driving. In some ways these parts are supposed to break and pop off as less stress goes through the expensive bits. I did upgrade to the carbon reinforced set it only cost me £20 from Tonys Tamiya parts for A&B parts tree and new diff cups. My shock are the only things that pop off when i race but i have just upgraded to the aerated options damper that screw in rather than the ball joint, they also work now unlike the not so good plastic ones.

I mainly use Vellrip, in singapore and he ships worldwide, RCMart are ok but they take a while to ship. I usually order from vellrip on a Thursday night/friday morning if i have broken somthing on Thursday evening racing and every single order always comes the following Wednesday. good prices too and he stocks most Tamiya parts inc DB01 and the 501x.

Also try Tony's Tamiya Parts on ebay he's UK based and very good for most things and posts quick too.
