Did you buy the Griffmobile then? That is a minter!
As far as I can tell there are no rules, just a gentlemans agreement that we will use as few mods as possible, though I haven't fully investigated this. I run mine 100% out of the box, oils, springs, anti squat, camber, toe, shock locations, wheels, tyres, inserts, etc. etc. only thing I have done is add an alloy front hinge pin brace to stop snappage of the front bulkhead.

Yeah i bought it a couple of weeks back now :-)
Sounds perfect to me, the way these things handle with kit setups should make it far more interesting racing!! I like you just built mine to the kit spec even with ride heigh etc so i think that's the way forwards

The Hall they use is used for indoor tennis. It has 2 full size courts. Large enough to house track and pitting. Would be an ideal venue for the indoor finals

What is the motor limit for sc10? I got a 19t brushed in mine. Can we still enter or you all closed now? It's a longshot but might go if we can still get in and iHereford is a long way from sunny Leicstershire.......

The track was brilliant, and a testiment to the HRCC club who have never failed to design a great track in all the events ive been to there.
4WD was brilliant. Griff and Bish were in a league of their own (must be a yellow thing!), and the rest of the heat was great dicing with Wes throughout :)
SC10 class was a real eye opener. Never raced SC10 before, and although I was plagued with breakages I never ceased to have a huge smilie on my face after coming off the rostrum :)

I think if you did a bit more (fancy!) advertising, the venue has great potential to run just a buggy meeting. You could still have the sc10's as a support class for fun. But i also think the sc10's were great to watch. Try it as you did first and push buggies a bit more to see how many attend???

I think if anything the track could have been a bit smaller, for some closer racing and with more jumps with good sized landings for a more off type feel .....
Was nice to see bits of floor without carpet on it too, and maybe some crash mats for bumps  I like bumps .....
Racing the micro trucks on it was really good fun but to me they would be even better in a dedicated micro track ..... so maybe go with 10th only ?!?
Was a cool meeting BTW, really enjoyed it .... would be ace to have somewhere to go race 10th on a big bad track :woot:
c0sie
22-10-2009, 10:31 AM
I didnt think it could get any closer as far as racing goes? You need somewhere to stretch your preverbial legs though, and the straight is the best place to do that!
Maybe another 'big jump'?. Drift section was great to see! But killed my MiniSpikes lol
HRCC always lay good tracks, and the venue has got to be one of the best in the UK surely?
I thought the bit of 'drift' floor on the apex of the hairpin after the wallride was amazing. Really taught you to watch youself going into that corner for fear or overshooting and sliding out. Some nailed in, some over shot it, but that corner was one of my favs randomly!
Id love another big 10th event at HRCC, I just hope that is supported well enough for the club to consider doing more events!

There was a bit too much 'racing' by the end of the day, I did my best to bash the crap out of anyone trying to race tho' LOL

I think that the problem was that the back markers werent gettin in the way of the leaders enough!

Not many put up much of a fight in my qually heat IMO...most just submitted far too easily LOL, although fair play to Haggis, as he took out Bootle deliberately, when he was lapping LOL

much like my round 1 kiddy MAM final. in the heats I managed 11 laps in round 4 with a clean drive (no crashes). in the final with similar ability drivers I still put in 11 laps and my driving was a lot more messy with several mistakes costing me time.

all I ment was I got put in heat 5 and was sitting 6th overall after round 2. I don't want to sound big headed. I just felt I was in the wrong heat. Also I felt Mark should of been in the top heat too. ho hum :)

I think the computer was to blame for that, Steve put me down as a 9, and the computer put me last in the bottom heat?? I would of stayed there but he moved me as i was racing in the Micros the heat before.

Ok 10 SC10's on a normal size track is alot but that was a decent size track which could easily cope with 15-20 trucks then you'll see who can get through untouched?? Think the idea is to race them but bumping to pass is just fine. Whatever it takes haha

How about a 10th scale meeting, with a SC10 demo race, however many people turn up all go in one heat :D

As long as the Rostrum's big enough it sounds cool to me!
I don't have any sort of 10th car at the moment so would be quite happy if i could race my SC10 unless i can borrow a 2wd from Lee
