I've not seen a part number yet. I'd like to know cos the Tamiya black ones are rubbish.
If I don't see the Tamiya grey ones coming out soon it'll be a set of black RPM ones for me!

The kit ballcups work perfectly with Kyoso ballstuds

Touring cars don't have such long ball cups do they?
they have grey ones, but not long ones, such as these new ones.

I think Kyosho has their balls, studs and cups in 4.8mm, 5.8mm and 6.8mm sizes. You used the 4.8mm?

Strange the HPI/Hotbodies ballcups fit the tamiya studds too.
Took the ones off my e-firestorm. You can also use the AE turnbuckles
with the HPI ballcups, dont even need threadlocker.

Could you use longer turnbuckles to mitigate the length issue?

But then you don't get the range of adjustment - wait for the new ones, I would think they'll be out soon! I have some on my car!

Still hoping they'll be out soon. Running out of the trailer-trash black kit ballcups and really like the look of those grey ones!
well I've never had a black one pop off!!! I broke the ball stud and the end of the ball was in the black cup, did have some pop off on the 501x though....

I would gather the kyosho ball cups, not the normal ones, but the hardened ones would be your best bet.

If the track has some I'll pick up some kyosho ball-cups for my car.
I'll find out sunday morning. They did have some kyosho stuff the last time I was there.

Have to agree with both the Durga I had and my current 501x I have never had a ball cup pop off and it's not like I haven't give them chance!

I've had a ball cup pop off at practice but never at a race.
But it would be good to put something stronger on the car anyways.
Wish I could find some schumacher ball cups, those things are strong.
A local guy had them on his 501x car once, but my tracks dont usually stock schumacher stuff so he had to have bought them online.
All I remember was them being light grey colored, and very hard.
The Kyosho ballcups seem to be 4,8mm and Tamiya ones 5mm. Do the Kyosho ballcups still fit ok?

Grey Tamiya ones are the same part number. No way to know when you order them if you'll get new or old stock.:(

Unless you call in and make sure, if they are even available separately yet.
But that is why I personally was thinking about ordering the Kyosho ones if they fit.
