Just thought I would start a thread on the soon to be starting NE outdoor regional season 2007.

Any predictions for a finalists / winners?
Any aspirations?
What cars are people using?

Here's mine:

I think drivers moving upto the A final for atleast one round will be Greg Williams and James Chappell.

Myself, Im hoping to get some consistent B finals in 2WD and hopefully one or two in 4WD

My cars for this season - B4 in 2WD and CAT '98 in 4WD.

Anyone else?

cat 98 !? you crazy man! :D

I don't know if I will make it to so many regionals this year, possibly as I might be moving to a different country which would make it hard:confused: but I certainly hope I can make a B final or two if I can get my act together and prepare properly.

Just runnin a B4 in my first ever year. So far only run in the 540 sealed can class at York, but done fairly well so aspiring to maybe run in some outdoor midified classes without making too much of an ass of myself. Be good to maybe move up an 'F' grade maybe. We'll see.

stick a 19spec motor in it for outdoors mate - they are ideal. I've run a 19 at nationals before, as well as regionals. really easy and smooth to drive and only really loses out on the straights.

Midified? Would that be the motor that plays music on the way round????

This will be my first outdoor season for about 18 years! I'm hoping not to be last and improve through the season. Steady away really.

Cars, B4 in 2wd and either my BX or XX4 in 4wd i still haven't decided hopefully Bury on Sunday will help me make that decision.

This is my first season out too! Really enjoying the club racing. So far I've started small with second hand car, radio gear, batteries etc All of which I've replaced with new items as an when i could afford it. Do you know what I've learned? I'm not getting any faster AND I'm running out of excuses!

I know what you mean Philly, the super fast York boys all say the same thing, to go fast you need to go slow, and they are right. When i'm not as throttle happy and keep it on it's wheels the times improve. I find when i mess up i try too hard and things tend to go a little bit wrong.:p

This will be my first season outdoors and hopefully, a good one. Im hoping to have a brushless to run by the start of the outdoor season and Im hoping to stay out of the bottom final for all of the rounds I attend and possibly if lucky get my F4.

I think I told you that... does that mean I'm a super fast boy!!

Anyway, I remember when you got an F4 for just turning up at a regional. It's not like that anymore I'm afraid:(

I'll be running an X11 in 4wd and not sure what 2wd yet, I have one of each and a few more to chose from!! :o :o

I'll be on hand at the regionals to give advice to anyone running a Pred.

I'd just like to enjoy the year tbh, next year I may be bringing a 'mini G' with me :)

How does the formula system work, ie are the top 10 at regionals F2, 11-30 F3 and so on, also if you gain a f2 grade at regional and an f3 at national which one counts;)

Predictions for the season? I predict I will not do as well as I would have liked:eh?:

Aspirations?? I hope to do better than I predicted:D

Seriously though, not even sure which region I will run in. Probably do just N.W, the tracks are not really any further away, and they run all events on Sundays;)

4wd will be an X5 to begin with, after that we'll see;)
2wd will be a B4 and will remain so (or certainly part of it will);)

Hopefully be able to attend all Regionals this year and hope to gain my F2 Licence to help me get into Nationals in 2008.
I will be using XX-4 for the first time outdoor as they seem to go ok!
B4 will be my 2WD ride from the start this season as last outdoor season i started with a Losi xxx then went to B4.
Still deciding wether to go brushless or not!!!
Hope everybody does well this year and hope you all finish below me!!

Will be happy to get my F3 this year and try to attend more than last year. Doing NW 2wd and NE 2wd and 4wd (2wd not to count at NE). I will be runing a B4 in 2wd and a XX4 in 4wd looking forward to some relaxed and fun meetings. I know I have said this before but try and sort out my driving and make a few A finals.:)
