Another well run meeting for Kiddi. Well done to Paul, Tony, Stuart, Tom, Charlie, DC, Andy, Jacquie, Phil, et al.

My first meeting as "pit dad" with no racing..

James was pleased with his 2WD Q9 U13 qualifier and to get 8,6,6 with an overall 7th was fantastic. It was the first time he has been able to race with more than two or three people his own age and he really enjoyed it. Running proper 3leg finals for the U13's is great!

I wish i cud b in an A final

I would just like to say a big thanks to Nathan for his track talks (i used the lines!) Mr. Bailey for his general help! Blitz to getting my shells to me so quickly, xtreme rc and mb modeltek for getting my parts and tires to me on time, James for setting my diffs and slipper properly (Even though he was from a differnt region!), Chris Brooke for set up help on my CR2 also to everyone who was rooting me on in the final race, who was shouting for me on the right of the rostroom? it was rather loud!

Also a big well done to Gregg his pace was rather incredible and he greatly deserves the title, maybe next year eh ,

See you all at broxtowe,

Was it Ashley that had the middle belt from us or Aaron?? Either one I'm sure it helped!!

Was fairly brave leaving the 5.5 in as well Carl, I only ran a 6.5 all weekend but young Aaron looked like he was driving it really well, especially as the day went on!!!

bigred5765

it was Chris cocker that had the belt jonsey thanks for that, will be replaced at f345's thanks again, i went to take the 5.5 out and Arron and his dad said can we try it first before you remove it, i said ok turned the EPA to 100 from 150 and he loved it,didn't want a slower motor in and even turned it back to 150 for round 3 and 4,awsome result for him,

Not to concerned about the replacement, I'm a trusting fella! I was just wondering who I'd been able to help (or who dad had been able to help!)

Fair play to Aaron though, he looked faicapable driving the car at that speed

If that was James Ebden then he was representing the SE and put the Madrat into the C in 2WD, though it has to be said it didn't last too long into the Final:thumbdown:

Oh and that was probably me shouting in your last race, sorry:blush: but it obviously didn't put you off and had the desired effect:thumbsup:

Lol! It wasn't my fault, honest Guv. The guy in front lost it and i had no where to go! Shame, as the car had done quite well up to then!

I suspect it may have been Wayne that did diff rebuilding, although i did try and assist the youngsters where possible (and a couple of dads!)

ERM, Sorry! I think I might have been the cause of your breakage on the start. I did try a test start and it took off OK, but when the final started the B4 pulled a big wheelie, I got it down and then I did it again????

Really sorry:(

All winter?, he'll be lucky if it lasts til the end of the summer LOL

Jimbo, get a set of Associated shocks so it handles better, I know that will triple the price of the car but you have loads of money to waste LOL

If you want a set of shocks, let me know, I have several new sets you can have (cheap). ........ or you could just buy a B4

Any truth in the rumour that you were seen browsing the shelves of ToysRus last week looking for a cheap 4wd? ;)

alrg500
08-09-2009, 06:22 AM
Alec
The car never even made it through practice before he started adding associated bits, shocks already fitted, by the end of winter it will will have transformed into a complete B4. :)

jim76
08-09-2009, 07:10 AM
i'm feeling lots of hate towards the poor Gerbil!!!

Admittedly the kit shocks are horrific and if you ever plan to race one (or even just bash it) you will need better shocks. B4 ones work a treat! But i've had a B4 in the past and don't like them, just the shocks! Yes, it's no longer a £50 car, but it's still a 1/3rd price RB5!! lol

Alec, i'm thinking of trying a Durga!

just kidding

I'd like to thank Paul and Tony for hosting the event, along with all the guys that helped out over the weekend, me, Yardy, Gemma, Wraggy, C-Cup and then the Mid-West crew for getting involved at the end of Sunday. Hopefully we've done enough to persuade Paul and Tony there would be help if they were to apply for a National next year!

On the racing front it was good to see so many different faces to those at Nationals and good to see that we put on a good show!

I'm still beating myself up over finishing 7th in 2wd despite TQ'ing, should have been better! Also, still cursing my 4wd luck, felt I should have qualified higher than 5th and certainly should have been higher than 7th! :woot:

Overall though it was probably one of the most competitive and intense weekends racing I have ever competed in!

Congrats to all the winners of the various classes and special mention to WoOdy and Nathan Waters for their wins in the BRC event.

For those of you going to Broxtowe then I will see you there, hopefully I can get on the mic this time (if Yardy lets me!) and for those of you who are not at Broxtowe I hope to see you over the winter.

Lastly, well done TEAM MID-WEST

There will be something along after the Durango review is up, but I think it will just be a photo gallery with comments, not a full report.

To be honest Dave there was some bother on Saturday during the day, so by the time Saturday night came along it was already off the rails, but by Sunday there was no way it was gonna be going anywhere.
