Jean-Pol Voumard asked me to pass on this news.
Him and his club are planning a new edition of their Euro Indoor Race.
Previously editions were held at Laon, France, and in Charleroi, Belgium were they now seem to have found a permanent base.
BRCC is a Belgian French-speaking club but they (and the event) are open to all international pilots
The 2009-edition (which was won in 4WD by Nathan Ralls) was a succes and they held yet another Summer-GP just to learn, improve and adjust their podium, track, ... organisation.
picture of the EIR 2009-track:
http://www.as-pictures.be/d/39548-2/tracksmall.jpg
The 2010-edition is now scheduled also:
It will be held on the weekend of 5, 6 and 7 february 2010.
Free training on Friday (5/02)
1 timed training + 6 qualifying rounds on Saturday (6/02)
2 qualifying rounds + 4 finals on Sunday.
There will be room for
5 series 2WD (probably series of 11 cars !)
4 series 4WD
1 serie Trcuk (1/10)
The track will be, as before, indoor, on astroturf, but the team has learned a lot from previous editions and found a solution to soften the landing zones (hard concrete floor + 1 layer of astroturf + jumps of about 2 meter = auch!) by laying some layers of a special soft material under the astro on the landing zones. This system was tested on the Summer GP and prooved to be very good.
Inscriptions will be open from Tuesday, Sept 22th 2009 at 20.30 CT and only via a specific emailaddress that will be published on Electropower.com (http://www.electropowerc.com/)
[note]: I'll try to publish it over here asap or ask JP if he could do it himself on this site.

pictures of the Summer GP: http://www.as-pictures.be/v/Modelisme+rc/RC_2009/album/GP_BRCC/
There will be tables inside for about 60 drivers and a big tent outside (heated) fo the rest of the drivers.
Also, as on the previous competitions, if necessary, drivers can also bunk in the indoor facility.

for all you guys, coming all the way from far-away, overseas UK or even Danmark, to Charleroi.
a very big THX!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
It was a GREAT event, and you guys gave it an "international touch".
Too bad that several of the local topdrivers were not present. You might have had an even tougher competition.
Anyway, we saw great and clean racing today and yesterday.
I think that I can speak for all my BRCC-teammembers when I say that we are looking forward for the next edition: EIR 2011 (or maybe even a Summer GP this summer)
I'll post links to pictures in the next days. :) :)
Well Nathan and I just got back and I can speak for both of us, we had a blast ! Great week end, great racing, lots of new faces, and old ones. Track was brilliant, good orgnisation and above all, we just had a really good laugh with everyone.
Thanks to Lowie, Bart, Iris team domlomp, and everyone else !
Bed time now !

I was so kind to bring him safe home to his mother.. or I will be shot ;)!!! Yes it was a strong race for the young lad.. and I am a little worried about what this season can bring, I guess I have to fight a lot with him this year.
The "old poor man" with humping leg keep the pace in the three first rounds and the overall win in B final, but could not catch the son in the last two rounds.
It was a great weekend with meeting a lot of nice people, and thanks to lowie, nathan, matt owen (specially from Jesper), Lloyd and many others for a good company and help.

Hi
I write as badly as I do not speak English. Sorry for the errors which you will read.
An immense thank you with you to have trusted us and to have crossed “Chanel” to drive in this race.
I will have a strong memory of your participation, you brought an additional level.
We wish also to thank you for your kindness and the respect for the procedures which we had requested from the beginning of the meeting. I seldom saw of Marshalls as attentive and quickly as you.
I also wish to thank the BRCC Team.
Nico, Ludo, David, Lolo, Didier, Philippe and J-Yves and our girls, it is a true pleasure of organizing races with you
Good, I will try to take English lessons, I am really too bad .....

Thank you Ulrich,
It is not difficult to be nice with people as well as you.
If Jesper continues like that, it is certainly which one will speak about him in little time. It makes me think of a young German pilot whom I had seen drived with one of our GP in 2005, I think.
Even style, even attack, also fairplay. I speak about Neuhman, there is much resemblance.
I hope that your wife liked the Belgian chocolates and that put it good mood
