Is this known? If so apologies:(, if not here goes:lol:

A certain 'BIG' name at both FORCC and in off-road racing in the South East has qualified for the BMBSCC WORLD (yes that's right I did say WORLD:woot:!) Final 2009, this forthcoming Saturday 26 September.

Check out: http://bmbscc.piczo.com/worldfinal2009qualifiers?cr=6&linkvar=000044

and somewhere down that list is a name you'll all recognise!

Best of luck mate, in the words of our resident MC 'GET IT DONE!':woot::thumbsup:

Yeah, good luck to them all, as it's been expalined to me today, the top 22 points scorers get to race for the World Final with a couple more qualifying on the night.

And then, almost unbelieveably they ALL race for the World Championship AT THE SAME TIME:woot:

Thanks chaps!

Going to be a tough race to win - there's some seriously quick racers in the Final. But being banger racing you never can tell what's going to happen. And a 24 car race is busy, but I have raced with over 30 cars in one race - and that's all on a 16 metre carpet oval with post and wire barriers. Now that's BUSY.

Gonna do my best, but if things aren't going to plan there's always the option of turning it round and stopping someone I don't want to win it with a meaty head on . Can't see my Austin Westminster lasting the night.

"Don't get mad - get even" is the motto........

Well chaps - I'm afraid I didn't win the "World" title. Came a creditable 5th out of 24 though so I'm quite pleased with that. No trophy this time but did get a free bodyshell, which judging by the state of the Westy is going to be well received.......

Was an epic meeting though. Format was:

2 last chance qualifiers - winner to go into World Final
World Final
2 rounds of heats
Meeting Final - available to ALL cars
Destruction Derby. - Last car running.

The All In Final had an amazing 39 cars!!!! Was going really well too until I snapped my battery pack in half giving someone a length of the straight follow-in

All good fun - better start cutting out the next shell lol.....

Just to dig up an old thread - attached is a video of Sunday's "Kings of Crash" final - just so you can how mad this branch of the sport is. Mine's the large white Cadillac Fleetwood starting 5th on the grid

That looks like a lot of fun :)

What chassis do you run? are they Mardave or home made?

All Mardave V12's Neil - either long or short wheelbase versions - some with top plates, some without.

The funny thing is - watching it on video - it seems a lot more manic than when you're racing. I guess it's because you're concentrating on trying to get through the carnage, or looking for that big follow-in, that you don't realise half the mayhem that's going on

I prefer the "post & wire" tracks myself - you can't beat lining someone up and running them full chat through the wires!

My eldest daughter managed to short out the battery in her final - Rover P4 with sparks and smoke coming out as it went round - looked just like the real thing!! :D
