This should be a quick one - is the right diff rebuild kit for the BJ4 the Associated #2334? (http://67.199.85.166/main/productdetails.php?text=2334)

If i were you i would turn the diff plates around or even wet and dry them smooth again and buy some Atomic Carbon diff/thrust balls.
Ive just done this for my BJ4 and found them really good.

It's mostly so I can practice rebuilding diffs (got loads of gears and outdrives, but lack the smaller components), and I think I'd cry if I spilled and lost £12 of ceramic balls...

They make a really big difference, the Atomic Carbon ones are fantastic!

Surely though it would be cheaper in the long run to buy better quality Atomic Carbon Diff/thrust race balls than buy Associated ones and then have to buy them again and again??
A correctly built diff is so much better to drive with than a diff that needs rebuilt;)

Ok, so it looks like I just need parts #2331 (ATD drive rings) and #6573 (diff bolt and washers) + the Atomic Carbon diff and thrust ball set, and I have a much superior alternative to the standard rebuild kit? I may have a number of spares for both, will check later.

Edit: There's a few other bits in there too, but those wouldn't generally need replacement, would they?
