The 'official' thread:)

As the title says, the opening round, Round 1 (of 6) of the 2009/10 Winter Warmer Series 2009/10. As per usual the series will cater for both 2WD and 4WD 1:10 electric off-road buggies as well as stadium trucks and indeed Short Course truck should we get enough entries!

As this thread infers to be held at Eden Park Raceway off-road facility(check out details here: http://www.edenparkraceway.com/dates.htm) on Sunday 04 October 2009.

Track WILL NOT open until approx. 08:30 for practice so please DO NOT arrive too early! The track has near neighbours which we do not want upset by excessive early noise, thank you!

See you all there, watch out for further announcements and confirmation of race fees etc.

I'm still not sure that 73 is our club meeting record, but what a show!! Thanks to the rest of the EPR crew as ever, and thanks to all the volunteer marshalls that help cover the races, you guys REALLY help us run the meeting to time! (and even take a few hits so everyone can race - 'lil Ellis especially).

The new timing system is making the meetings easier to run too so thanks to everyone who has donated to EPR in the past :)

Roll on 1st Nov!

great days racing. couldnt live with grants pace in the A he was definatly on a mission. was glad to be the only person not lapped by him in the A :wtf:

great job by the epr crew today, nice to be able to run pt's at last and a smoothly run meeting. hope young ellis (not stafford) was ok after his incedent marshalling. didnt see what happened but did see him in pain. a very quick andy carter was quick on the scene to help so get well soon m8

well done to team domlomp, bart and irish on their first trip to epr coming all the way from belgium for the weekend, irish ending up 24th and bart unfortunatly breaking in the B to end up 8th. hope to see you both over here again soon

What more could we ask for? Great weather superb track and a great turn out; some driver’s travelling over 200 miles to come to the EPR Winters series.

Big thanks to all the people who make the effort on a sat to prepare the track so we can have a great days racing. Thank you.

Dc-
Grant had to keep checking that you really was on BLUE mini spikes !!!!!. still can’t believe it was true, but they got you in the ‘A’ so well done m8.

Nathan
Grant said you were very lucky today he won’t be so kind to you next time.

Last mention is for Dave Orbell or as we all know him as Doorbell. New nick name from now on double D (Durango Dave) i won’t say what Nathan said!! .
Well done first time out with the new car, looked very good in your final, all the best for this year with it.

Mike

Really fun day out - well organised and it was great!

Thanks to everyone involved, and look forward to seeing everyone at races in the near future. Especially cool to see so many new faces. Good stuff.

Little Ellis: get well soon, dude! You took a pretty nasty knock there by the big tabletop... Keep the ice on and you'll be back in action in no time.

SC drivers: Awesome. That's all that can be said! I think we'll have to get a shoebox to run as a body for the Childs' 5.5 monster though... I almost marshalled it backwards once or twice with that flat body and big wing out front!:woot:

I snapped a few photos, but alas I was playing with settings on my new camera so they're not as cool as the ones at the F345:

Start line Carnage! and hey Shareef - good first day out, sir - you're the only one actually more or less lined up!
