LOL! Jordan would certainly be quick with that (when he finally reaches top speed)!
Do you know if it's a sintered rotor?
i ran a 17 on my 4.5 on Sunday and it was fine temp wise, and it was a pretty hot day. Wayne ran a 15 on his 4.5 and thermalled :wtf:
i would say 16-17 depending on how twisty the track is.

And that was sintered.
However 2 likely suspects,
1. Slipper clutch, too loose and i think the pads are worn. This is letting the motor rev up too much. Illustrated by Martin killing it in a lap, (lead thumb Johnson)
2. Actually 15 was pushing my luck heavily and a 17T would make more sense, this is what i ran all day at cml last time out, without a problem.
Second thoughts i reckon a 35T, that'll take him to the moon!!!

your just scared he will beat you Wayne!
Cheers Guys, recon is a 17 to start, unsure if its sintered, as its a 5.5 I don't think so, but has the crinkly can?

If you bought it in the last couple of weeks it may well be sintered, if not then no, but don't worry about it it will have loads of zoom, i would suggest some new slipper pads though as mine are shot.

If the motor has a ribbed can then its got the sintered magnets, plus if when you spin the shaft there is some resistance its a sintered mag. I emailed Novak about that the other day actually. Just picked up a 4.5 today! I'm going to start with a 15t pinion.

The ribbed cans have been used with the non sintered 4.5 systems so the best test is the resistance to rotation.
Cheers guys.......poping it into the car tonight, guess we will see how it goes this weekend.:)
