Not overlooking our vintage racing, we need to schedule the next round, is everyone ok with the 30th October?
I understand that Matt has some spares to mend Craig's Traxxas so we may get a good mix of cars this round.
Unfortunately i cant make the 23rd or 30th Oct due to prior commitments, but if you have enough people then race by all means and ill wait 'till the next round in November.
What happened to the other 2 or 3 RC10s and your old Losi JRX that were seen in the first round or two then never seen again Pete ?

Well, one RC10 was Balders and he's favouring his Lazer these days, I'm not sure why Si Osborne stopped running his RC10 and the Jrx went to JMaggs, hopefully he can make the next round.....

At the moment I'm not 100% if I can make it, got a few things going on at home which will dictate my racing over the next few weeks. I'll let you know either way though..
I'm hoping to have either the RC10 or the Lazer ready for action for this though..
I don't mind if you want to bump the date a week or two though, dependson everyone else like?

I'm not a def either...
...also thinking, it could be yet another class to add to the Christmas bash...if enough people were interested???
Or is interest slipping a little in vintage?

Interest is still there!
I reckon its just we are all busy boys and getting the time to come to club let along sort out our vintage cars has proved rather difficult of late.

what sort of cars and track are you running the vintage race on?
are there rules to the internals? cos I only have lipos lol
Rules are sort of easy... pre 93-ish, so no RC10 B2's, Losi xx's, xx4's, Cat 2000's.
So far the cars that have run are - Traxxas TRX1's & 3's, Kyosho Lazer ZX & Optima Mids, JRX2, RC10 tubs, Tamya Thundershot....
Lipos & brushless are fine and no limit on the motors or tyres or anything else tbh.... Just be prepared for some interesting race lines from the ' Belsten Brothers' who are quite prepared to cut a few corners, or indeed half the track to win
I have got loads on at home & work atm so i wont be down again for 2-3 weeks but both the Lazer and Traxxas TRX3 are ready to run ;)

Bitter ?? Bitter ???? I was robbed of the win guv'nor  :p
In fact it was fecking funny to watch, people doing 6 second laps in 20 year old buggies....

Well, as the lap counter is set to 12 second minimum laps the cheating didn't really work:p
Soooooo do we have a date yet for the next Vintage round ?
Talking to Dave B ( one of the Gruesome Twosome brothers in his personal Creepe Coupe ) it looks as though we are both turning up next Friday ( 6th Nov ) but im not sure what ill be running ( so ill be Professor Pat Pending in the Converta-Car ), and i think Balders ( Peter Perfect in his Turbo Terrific ) could be running one of his new Schumies...
So what does that leave Craig running as ? The Red Max in the Crimson Haybailer or Dick Darstardly in his Mean Machine ??

Unfortunately I think the poor old plastic on Balders TRX1 have become far to brittle to be raceworthy, so I'm going to retire back into Balders collection :(

the 6th sounds good to me. I'll run as Rufus Ruffcut with the Buzzwagon (google is great!)
Cant beat a bit of the Wacky Races ... And i think you know exactly what im talking about Dave  :p
Dont think your getting out of it that easily Craig :woot: Ive got new front castor blocks, front bulkheads, rear hubs and rear sus arm holders cast out & ready to go... i just put them in the tank when i was casting some of James' Lazer parts out. I think they should last you for a couple more races ?? I hope so, as ill run the TRX3 so will probably need them myself.
Only parts you might need extra are some new Traxxas ball adjusters - cheap as chips from Wheelspin Models for instance. Ok they are black, but hey, who cares if its on a runner ??
http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/car/item/TRX-1942-Rod-Ends-16-Long-4-Short-Hollow-Ball-Connectors-18-Ball-Screws-2__f4/
So, after all that work you'd better run it at least once more before you retire it ;)

Any pre-94 car is eligible so the Cougar 2 scrapes in there:woot:
In fact even if it doesn't arrive come over with the Cyber 10 and have a race! :D
Yeah get the Cougar running and come over to us dood, its always good to have a good mix of buggies :)
And otherwise ill be the only 2wd running

Guys cougar has turned up but think the diff is shot, only one wheel is spinning fully, the other is hardly moving...
Slipper looks like its wound right up so I think the previous owner was trying to compensate for it...
Will try and strip it down if I get chance later and if I can fix, ill be over
Cant run the Cbertonight im afraid, Got Kiddy on sunday and not many spares if I brake it !!
Fingers crossed I can get the cougar going, could do with a bit of indoor
