I gave in...
I grew tired of this thing stareing at me everytime I troll the internet. So I finally gave in and purchased one for myself. I hear all over the boards that 1/8th is really durable. And going through the build, I've got to admit I'm really impressed with the kit. For motovation I've installed a MMM 2200kv monster. And a maxamps 4c lipo. For tires / wheels, they are proline badlands, and maximizer beadlocks 1/2" offset. (I kind of suck at glueing tires, so beadlocks are the way to go for me.)

Having run this little monster a few times, I'm very glad I opted for the 4c and not the 6c lipo, it's crazy fast, and has more torque than i'd have ever imagined for an electric.

Had a bit of an accident, already....
Tried to jump a berm that looked "not too steep", aced it going over one way, on the way back I couldn't see the angle very well, and I found out after i slammed into it it was nearly vertical. Truck is now waiting for a rear chassis mount, and wing mount. Grrr...

Didn't notice the broken chassis mount untill I took off the wing and prepped to go out without.

The metal braces are on order, and comming in the mail. Along with a new wing mount. Are there any other parts that have a short lifespan with rough handeing?

Alright new wing mount, CF shock towers, and Metal chassis brace are installed. Pictures to come soon. Has anyone else had a problem with the shock caps popping off? and just on the front.

I seem to remember that the RC8 series had an issue with the top caps coming off, though I'm not sure what the fix is. I guess fitting the Factory Team top caps might help?

Yup, looks like I'm going to have to shell out $55.00 for each half of the Factory team threaded alum shocks. I was just hopeing to avoid that.
