We're not and Apex aren't either according to their site.

I would like to, but I've been told no more stockists are going to be selected for the time being so you will have to go with whoever got them in the first place.

I'm from A1-RC and we are in the same position :(

We specialize in 1/10th electric touring cars and buggies so are really keen to have Durango products but they basically told us the Durango was too good to be sold at club level so they have only allowed shops with a direct link to the regional championships to sell Durango products

We’ve got our fingers crossed that when the club version of the DEX410 is released that Team Durango will allow us to be a stockist ;)

Restrictive trading practice , not really on in the UK (by law that is...)

Under cartel laws, illegal methinks!

It's a shame really but I can sort of see where they are coming from, trying to keep it more of a high level, exclusive car.

Still dying to get my hands on one though, might even cough up full RRP when they are back in stock!

Under cartel laws, illegal methinks!

Its not actually illegal as long as they have a clearly defined set of legally permissible criteria. For example; defining a dealer that can clearly show an identified affiliation with a certain type of BRCA National or EFRA club would be sufficient. Then if any other dealer was then able to achieve the same, they would by law have to be offered the Durango product on equal terms to the other dealers. These selective criteria must be published and available to anyone who asks. As soon as a company meets the criteria then the supplier must immediately make available the products at the standard dealer price (with no favouritism to others.)

actually it isnt, you can not be a ford dealer unless you meet the required standards set by ford.......... maybe durango are asking for particular standards?

I'm not sure if it is standards. We were offered the chance to stock the products upon release but held back to see how the product would turn out when used by the public. Came to order and got told no. Seems that they are trying to keep it more exclusive.

Nope, just no more dealers at present (no matter what your standards)

In the scenario you describe then the supplying company would be acting unlawfully. Problem is, companies who make mistakes like this only learn is if they receive a solicitors letter and that costs £200. I guess thats the profit on 4 kits.

Who gives a sh*t. Buy off the website if the stockists too far away. Some of you complain for the sake of it.
